The Shelter, combines drawing in Japanese ink by Kate Steenhauer and a multi-voiced verbatim performance by Shane Strachan to reflect contemporary life around city-centre bus shelters in Aberdeen.

The Shelter - Audio Preview

Ross Whyte is a Scottish composer and musician who first began writing for dance in 2009.  Since then he has collaborated with many choreographers and dancers, including Rob Heaslip, Aaron Jeffrey, Claire Pencak, Gabriela Sanchez and Mhairi Allan.  

Along with long-time collaborator, choreographer and dancer, Thania Acarón, he formed the Orphaned Limbs Collective.  Their most recent project was titled 'The Witching Hour' and is planned to be toured internationally in 2015.
