Rooms I’ve Lived In is a quiet, reflective album built from memory, movement, and the emotional spaces we pass through while becoming ourselves. Each song represents a “room” — not just physical places, but moments in time, states of mind, and versions of self that once held meaning. Together, they form a map of growth told through stillness rather than spectacle.

The album explores what it means to arrive, stay, leave, and remember. From unopened boxes and peeling wallpaper to late light on the floor and keys never returned, these songs capture the small, human details that linger long after a place is gone. There is no rush here, only observation — how rooms witness our quiet struggles, our pauses, and our gradual change.

Sonically, Rooms I’ve Lived In leans into warm indie and acoustic textures, gentle melodies, and restrained arrangements that leave space for reflection. The sound is intimate and lived-in, designed to feel like listening alone in a familiar space at the end of the day.

This album isn’t about where you are now — it’s about everywhere you’ve been, and how each place, however briefly, helped shape who you became.

Bulacan-based indie/twee pop band The Gentle Isolation took their sweet time (almost 9 years!) before releasing new music today. “Alone For A While” is wonderful pop tune that sounds utterly timeless and harkens the great indie pop/new wave era of the 80s and 90s. Trademark jangle guitars with lush instrumentations of strings and horns by the author Monch Cristobal makes a heavenly bed for Ness Urian’s gentle vocals.
