TMNGTOOLS #01 | Bootie Grove - Boson De Higgs (Re-Jazz at La Cantina de Chalmun)

Here is the debut EP from Manchester producers Tom Lonsboroough and Col Hamilton, known as 2 Billion Beats with the Musics Alfresco EP.


Things kick things off with the uptempo ‘The Moodymann’, a funk fuelled cut of bottom heavy laden disco house. Retro synth bass with an acidic twist, rolling house rhythms and keys create a melodic yet dancefloor orientated vibe and a slightly old school feel. 

Next up, ‘Secret Sub Disco’ journeys into more laid back disco territory with layers of melody washing over bubbling bass and relaxed rhythms to create a decidedly chilled vibe with some added in some acidic arpeggiated lines. 

Finally 2 Billion Beats deliver ‘Lunar’, a deep and delightful slice of balaeric tinged house built around bass stabs, breaks and a rolling Rhodes key loop.

No es frecuente ver a un artista que surge de la nada y se convierte en alguien capaz de revolucionar el mercado. Rossel, quien nació en un pequeño pueblo de Perú, evolucionó a pasos de gigante en pocos años. Creció en un barrio humilde donde era habitual escuchar música Criollo y ritmos de tambores por todas partes; gitanos golpeando, guitarras coloreando noches de verano y palmeras al ritmo del sur del Perú. BROO'S ganó visibilidad no solo por sus primeras posiciones en las listas de Beatport en los últimos años, sino también gracias a los altos números en plataformas de transmisión como Spotify. Sus sets, desde la lejana Australia hasta cualquier club del sur argentino, están cargados de mucha energía y pasión.
