Ross Harper has an infectious love of electronic music.

Every DJ set by Ross Harper is a blank slate waiting to be written, playing anything from deep house, techno, dark disco, cool breaks, progressive house and everything in between.

A respected producer in his own right, Ross Harper’s productions are rich and varied. 

Ross Harper’s beat driven works have been supported by industry legends like Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Charlotte de Witte, Martin L Gore of Depeche Mode and Nemone on BBC Radio 6.

While the Ambient Girl series explores downtempo and has seen support from Cici, Lemonella and Ben Malone on Kiss FM. In Your Eyes e-zine dubbed it as “strong candidate for electronic album of the year”. 

Ross is also founding father of City Wall Records, where as lead A&R he has signed tracks played in numerous Boiler Room sets including SNTS at Kompass and Ancient Methods in Berlin.

Ross holds weekly radio residency on London based AAJA Music.

Ross Harper has an infectious love of Electronic music.

His recent LP, The Dark Album has met with a warm reception finding the front pages of Mixmag and Decoded Mag as well as DJ support from the likes of Richie Hawtin and Charlotte de Witte. Following this success, throughout 2023/24 Harper is taking The Dark Album sound on a world tour. Prior to The Dark Album, Harper’s various other beat driven works have been supported by Laurent Garner, Martin L Gore of Depeche Mode and Nemone on BBC Radio 6 to name a few.

Meanwhile Harper’s Ambient Girl series explores Downtempo and has found plays with Cici, Lemonella and Ben Malone on Kiss FM. In 2020, In Your Eyes e-zine dubbed it as “strong candidate for Electronic album of the year”. 

Harper is also founder of City Wall Records, where as lead A&R he has signed tracks played in numerous Boiler Room sets including SNTS at Kompass and Ancient Methods in Berlin.

Alongside the touring, Harper is holding down a monthly residency with The Luces Phenomena in his home town Brighton (UK) plus a weekly radio show on London’s AAJA Music.

Harper’s roots are in the 90s London Techno scene, as well as an early obsession with psychedelic rock from the 60s and 70s. Between 2002 and 2007 Harper spent 5 years studying Music Production, after that was a long period of introspective musical focus, however, since 2018 Harper has ‘flipped’ to a more outward facing mindset.

“The title of the track is Sacrifice Abandon, for me this equates to, Sacrifice, the parents feel they are making a sacrifice that will improve the child’s prospect of social success. Abandon, the flip side is the child can feel abandoned and in some cases be left vulnerable.”

Ross Harper has an infectious love of music.

Harper’s productions are rich and varied. 

Harper’s LP, The Dark Album made the front cover of Mixmag, a feature in Decoded Mag, had plays from Richie Hawtin and Charlotte de Witte called it “beautiful”. 

Meanwhile, Harper’s Ambient Girl series explores downtempo and has seen support from Cici, Lemonella and Ben Malone on Kiss FM. In Your Eyes e-zine dubbed it as “strong candidate for electronic album of the year”. 

Earlier Ross Harper’s works have been supported by industry legends like Laurent Garner, Martin L Gore of Depeche Mode and Nemone on BBC Radio 6.

Ross is also founding father of City Wall Records, where his A&R skills have signed tracks played in numerous Boiler Room sets including SNTS at Kompass and Ancient Methods in Berlin.

Harper presents a monthly two hour show on AAJA on the fourth Monday of every month at 1800hrs where he shares a plethora of cutting edge new underground releases.

Harper also holds weekly residency on @aajaradio every Friday from 1000hrs GMT with “The Morning After Show”.
