Our little band has been busy over the summer months working on songs for a fall release.  This is perhaps one of the more spiritually-centered songs we have written and published.  How responsible are we for the evil that has come upon the world, for the resultant suffering it has brought. Peter's beautiful words begin with an act of redemption for mankind, but end with judgement not by God's choice, but man's will. 
The words did not come easily as Peter confesses that his pen "hovered above the last line for several minutes" not wanting to write it, but with a prophet's conviction, knew it must be written. The question is begged by those who will to believe, does the beauty of God's creation also involve justice and judgement, what Luther called "God's alien work"?  
Peter's verse has never been more poignant or Seagull's production more finely crafted. His track note also offers further insight into our thinking on the song and is well worth reading.

I'm so thankful to be a songwriter! Feels good to express like this. Just letting loose! This by far is the most different song I've ever written. Circumstances can hit you in crazy ways. Who would've thought my favorite dinosaur would be the title of a song lol. It surprised me but I went with it. The glorious Ankylosaurus, built like a tank. There are some very cold hearts out there, that tell lies, that are just so cruel, that betray, wanting to cause harm. Go ahead, try...because you'll just break your teeth on me...goodbye. Thanks for the song:) I've become an Ankylosaurus. This song was inspired from quite a few situations that happened within the past year. For all those out there who have encountered, conquered and moved on from those kinds of people, people who are really just unhappy.  Hey, you're an Ankylosaurus too! Thanks for listening to this live recording I did late last night on the Old Baldwin...which by the way is in need of a tuning. Ankylosaurus (Original Song Live)

This song was written at the same time as ‘Get Up’ which I posted a couple of months ago and is very much a partner piece to it. I’ve given it a more jazzy feel and upped the tempo from my first  version which I hope has given it a brighter and lighter feel. I’ve also multi-tracked the ‘Uh Oh’ vocal loop and added a few effects to make it a little more prominent in the mix - it is after all the title! I very much hope you enjoy this one and, if you have time, maybe leave a comment. The feedback I’ve had on the other songs has been really, really helpful ( and very encouraging too! ).

A song asking for an Oskar Schindler for Palestine and playing on the famous heart wrenching red coat imagery from the movie Schindler's List. It took me a while to write out 95 random Palestinian first names and Fatima's on that page. If we actually wrote out the souls killed we would need 694 pages to write down the names of the 66,700 people that have been killed so far in this war and a huge amount of them have been starved to death. Most are on the verge of death because of a genocidal blockade of basic humanitarian assistance. The aid that is getting there is privatised now going against international law and is highlighting the weaponisation of all elements against the Gazan population. All this along side Isreali settlers expanding their territory illegally into Palestinian territory in the West bank and being given mindless confirmation by the so called good guy USA. Unless people stand up to these right wing cowards America and Israel will eventually have their racist Riviera Darth Don has parroted on about. Stop the liars. Stop the haters. Stop the murderers controlling people and there is no fight for freedom from their wicked ways anymore and we can all move on in peace.
