French imprint AWO tee off their release schedule with ‘Akua‘, a new single from Montpellier-based production duo SOM.1...Clocking in at 135 BPM, 'Akua' simmers with dark textures and mutant breaks. Peppered with 90s hip-hop vocals, a tightly-coiled arrangement of terse breaks skitters over an ominous fog. Floating amidst cyber-fuelled ceremony and UK bass futurism, ‘Akua’ is music for the dance.
