It wasn't a big deal when I first saw the thread
But on closer inspection
It's worse than I ever guessed

My sleeve caught on a nail
My warmth unravelled
As the seasons began to turn

I don't understand how I didn't feel this before
The chill has entered
My young and aching bones

Now there's a trail of something that used to be comfort
It's chaotic and messy
Making me trip over my heart and my mind

Now the harder I pull the harder it's getting to take
