A mix for Frede and my buddies at Apollo Bar. We've all been very much in absentia this past year. Started as a private press records only mix, but kinda evolved into whatever.

Today is truly extraordinary. Not only are we officially launching our website (https://rotared.space), but we are also introducing two premieres at once. The first is our new music series titled "Rotared mix". The episode numbered 01 carries the subtitle "Sweat and Tears".

Which brings us to the second exclusive, quite literally a life premiere. This episode was prepared by our longtime friend and colleague from the Rotared team, who after years in the gray zone decided to present his work to the public. It was a challenging process, full of emotions and effort – truly sweat and tears in every sense.

However, the result speaks for itself… 💎 No words needed.

With the next installment of our music series, we will venture into the dark corners, not just of this world. But there's no need to fear. The journey to these places can be a pleasant experience, especially when you are accompanied by an experienced guide.

This guide is a skilled psychonaut and another member of the Rotared crew. A person who explored the dark time-space and lived exclusively at night, a person who survived his own death and returned to the daylight stronger than ever. 

Do not fear, the devil is coming.

Slow, slow, slow. This is a story about how high and deep you can get. Everything was the same. You could literally see the music, right in the middle of the city, in the garden. The freedom of the tunes - you pay with your mind.

See you in the next life, with all the love, positivity, and hope and intoxicating scent we can gather, and all those human emotional twists. Yes, sometimes it’s not easy, and we know it, but we've gotta keep trying, over and over.

For those who couldn't make it, we’ve captured a short clip of one dreamy day.

That evening marked the end of one phase. In the red-black darkness somewhere underground on the edge of the city, much was revealed quite unintentionally, yet each answer brought several more questions.

The endeavor was realized. Closing one chapter leads to the opening of another, heralding a fresh dawn.

Now is the time to share a recording from this exceptional night. As the third addition to our series, we've prepared a recording from this night. The first part, "The Last Play," serves as a prelude by one of us, who approached his performance as a finale at the peak. Yet, in the context of this night's unfolding revelations, we suspect this is not the end of the road.

The second part is then a two-hour exquisite trip, which is not easy to obtain. Ivan Smagghe is one of our long-standing and enduring favorites. He could guide us through the wildest phases, just as he was their absolving comforter. His distinctive sound undoubtedly moves you towards unique inner processes.

Seasons greetings! We're closing out 2024 with a selector that perhaps needs no further introduction, but in case you've been living under a rock for the past 15 years, we are extremely excited to present the next Idle Cellars mix by the one and only EDDIE C! Mr. C (NOT THAT ONE) is, in our esteemed opinion, one of the best DJ's in the entire world and we're crazy stoked to have him as the next IC mix for your listening pleasure. Canada-born & Berlin-bred, Eddie has been gallivanting all over the globe as a musical expert in a world of tourists, ready to spread good vibes and his sparkling personality (plus that Canadian politeness we always hear about) to the four corners of the planet. 

His resume is, frankly, ridiculous. As a producer and "editor", Eddie is responsible for countless fantastic releases across disco edit labels like his own RED MOTORBIKE, COMMON EDIT, 7 INCHES OF LOVE, KOLOUR LTD, SLEAZY BEATS, LUMBERJACKS IN HELL and many, many more, plus he's been fully embraced by the Japanese contingent with many releases on MULE sublabel ENDLESS FLIGHT as well as CRUE-L & SOUNDOFSPEED. The man's discography as a producer is as wide as it is deep and he continues to be extremely active with new remixes or originals coming out regularly.

DJ-wise our boy has the chops to be dropped into any situation and rock the party, whether that's at Cafe Del Mar, Panoramabar, the Sunset Campout or dodgy mafia-run nightclubs in deepest Eastern Europe. To put it succinctly, he is...THE MAN. 

We think Eddie C is a perfect closer to our year. Thanks for coming along with us on these journeys, and we hope you can give us a subscribe and stay tuned - we have some seriously cool things happening for 2025 so don't sleep, and have a wonderful holiday season and New Year.
