Our next Guest Mix comes from the outstanding Italian musical collective, Aura Safari.

The band started with the meeting of a musician and a group of DJ’s / producers coming from different musical backgrounds and generations. Aura Safari is the union of various musical eras and influences such as Jazz Fusion, 80’s Boogie, World Music, Italo House, Balearic Beats and Jazz Funk.

Years spent in the local scene of Perugia (Italy) attending Umbria Jazz Festival every summer and winter nights at the legendary Red Zone Club have shaped the sound of Aura Safari.

This mixtape is an example of their true love of music across a vast spectrum.

We present you a boiling hot mid-summer guest mix by the Budapest-based dj duo, Super Italo!

"With this mix we set our sails for Pleasure Voyage's musical territory, so we imagined ourselves enjoying the perfect summer holiday on a paradise beach, lounging in the shade listening to the music floating from the beach bar's speakers. And the soundtrack for this drift of fantasy is a choice selection of slow and Funky italo-disco with a few drops of italo-pop and non-Italian synth-disco, grouped into "waves" for a sea-like flow. It's made for those lazy summer afternoons and we hope it's just as hot as it is refreshing."

Super Fu might be a new name to many but they are are a trio of musicians with deep roots in the UK electronic scene, a collaboration between Richard Hall (Paper Street Soul), Paul Withey and Sarah Lazenby (Sweetooth). Having known each other for a number of years having featured on the same releases together under our different guises, a collaboration had been talked about, but it wasn’t until the extraordinary situation that occurred over the last year and a half that has really given them the time to really see what would happen. They set out to create music without boundaries using all 3 of their varied influences and a creative freedom. Their EP Cocoons from earlier in 2021 introduced the act to the world and was followed up by their wonderful eponymous album Super Fu both on Paper Recordings, a stunning collection of 10 tracks receiving support from a wide and varied cast of respected artists.

Isaac Peces Loves To Boogie

Next up in the series we have Isaac Peces, a DJ and Vinyl digger based in Galicia, Spain! His danceable, elegant and eclectic sessions revolve around jazz, soul, funk, disco, boogie, house, latin, afrobeat, dub, balearic, edits, tropical and even more!

He has played over the last decade at festivals such as Womex, Jazzaldia, Noroeste or Revenidas, as well as parties in and outside the country, highlighting Brilliant Corners (London), Canvas (Amsterdam), Le Mellotron (Paris), Berlin Café (Madrid), Afrodisia (Granada), Artte (Barcelona), Primeiro Andar (Lisbon). He was responsible for the Graham parties and the 14th! Club, where he programs concerts and DJs from the afro-american scene. He is part of the vinyl collective Fiera del Disco, also with Jas Processor he joins forces in the 100% disco combo called Souldiggers, while also joining forces with Fan-Te in the couple Estranhas Criaturas, to unleash his most electronic side.

A man of many skills, he also writes as an editor for the Acidjazzhispano page, has recorded sessions for Lovemonk, Sonideros, Bill Brewster, Baile Híbrido and Apricot Ballroom, and is also director of the monthly program ‘Diggin Pearls’ through the Keakie platform. He combines technique, versatility and love for vinyl, which makes him, despite his age, a regular on the Galician and national scene.

For the mix Isaac rolls through an eclectic mix of serious mid tempo grooves with some upbeat numbers to finish off that will surely get anyone moving, solid selection from start to finish, get involved!

On Friday February 7 2014 as Dj Premier was in Detroit performing at Dilla Day, I was filling in for Premier on his Sirius/Xm radio show "Live From Headqcourterz". Being that it was what would have been J-Dilla's 40th birthday I did an all Dilla set in my second hour honoring the late great Producer/MC/DJ. 
James "Jay-Dee", "J-Dilla" Yancey died in 2006 at the young age of 32 from cardiac arrest after a long battle with a rare blood disease.... 

He was one of the music industry's most influential and respected hip-hop artists.
