Berlin–Sydney live melodic techno duo SPHR return with Reflections, a two-track EP that captures the essence of their cross-continental collaboration and immersive live sound. Known for their hardware-driven performances and fusion of emotive melody with rhythmic intensity, SPHR continue to blur the line between studio precision and spontaneous performance.
The A-side, “Reflections,” is a driving yet hypnotic journey anchored by a punchy bass rhythm — a signature of the SPHR sound — surrounded by swirling melodies and edgy chord stabs that build to a powerful, euphoric peak. On the flip side, “Fine Lines” reveals the duo’s more melodic sensibility, led by a soaring synth line and shimmering arpeggios that float above a deep, pulsing groove.
Reflections solidifies SPHR’s reputation as a live act and production duo redefining melodic techno through emotion, motion, and meticulously crafted sound.
