The duo introduced itself to our MindTrip world last month with their track ‘Mistaken Identity’ released on Mutable Minds V compilation. Slight Function was created in 2020 and is a completely new project between the German Krenzlin and the Argentinian Rhombic. Their debut release came out as 12" vinyl at 770-output on February 2021 and their sound can be identified as dark, straight, raw techno. A scientist by day and a DJ by night, Polish-born and Edinburgh-based ona:v began DJing in Edinburgh clubs in 2019. With distinctive taste for fast-paced and energetic tracks, she packs her DJ mixes with high-energy electro and techno. She is an advocate for female representation in the electronic music industry and believes the best way to increase the proportion of women in the electronic music world is platforming. Her mixes always feature tracks by amazing female producers. To further promote women DJs, she founded EPiKA with @ktk_dj. The aim of EPiKA is to promote women playing heavier flavors of electronic music through organising a series of female-led nights in Edinburgh and to create a welcoming and supportive environment for beginner female DJs.

Lindsey Wang, the mind behind Polygonia, is a versatile musician and artist based in Munich, Germany. A long time before her electronic music journey began, she explored the realms of several acoustic instruments intensively. This skill combined with studies of various other art forms, inspired the artist to translate her understanding of rhythm, composition, and experimentalism into the digital music language. Her sound identity is driven by a mystic, deep and organic character which is enriched with acoustic elements, built into the genres of deep techno, downtempo and ambient. 

Together with Dycide and MTRL she founded the ambient and deep techno label IO. She also co-curates the podcast channel Hadal Resonance. In addition, the artist works as an interactive sound designer at the company Impulse Audio Lab.

Francesco Visconti, better known as VSK, is an Italian techno dj and producer, born in Rome in 1986 and based in Berlin. Since his earliest youth he has had a huge passion for electronic music, and through hanging out at the famous record store from the Capital “Remix”, he was introduced to the world of djing when he was only 16 years old. He has got familiar to different forms of techno, his style ranging from a sound usually very hard and dark, often with industrial influences, to a very different one, deeper and more mental, both still easily recognizable as coming from the same mind. At the same time he met the artist Ken Karter, who introduced him to the world of production and mastering. He began an education as an audio-engineer and sound-designer, in music and especially in television, working in different recording studios; currently he does this alongside his artistic career. In 2010 he and his friends Conrad Van Orton and Vilix started their own label “Consumer Recreation Service”, which got immediate support from big names in the international techno scene, currently he has been handling “CRS ltd” series, focused on a darker and more industrial sound. Over the years he has released music on many other important labels such as “Ear To Ground, Sonntag Morgen,Genesa, Planet Rhythm, on which he has an important collaboration with the Italian icon Giorgio Gigli, “Silent Age Ep”. In 2016 he also signed an extended six-track Ep with Conrad Van Orton on Developer’s imprint Modularz (USA) and in 2018 on historical SOMA records under the name of “Symmetrical Behaviuor”. In 2017 he started performing live, both individually and as part of a duo with the Serbian artist Scalameriya. This collaboration brought to several relevant releases on the British labels Power Vacuum and the legendary Perc Trax, as well as leading to their appearance in the MORD box 002. At the same time he took part in the latest VA on the amazing “47” label along with Ancient Methods, OAKE and the label owner Tommy Four Seven. He also signed 47’s third solo Ep, following those by Headless Horseman and Killawatt.

Bosnian-built and -bred Sev Dah may be a Swedish expat, but the Balkan blackness clings strongly to the bleak percussions and rigidly uneasy synthetics that unwillingly fuse into his strongly individual take on techno.

He has been at the front of the underground scene playing all over Europe, which includes playing legendary gigs in Tresor and Berghain. Signed to respected labels such as Random Island, Mote Evolver and KSR he quickly gnawed his way into the scene’s core of DJs and producers. Sev is even managing new projects on his own label Proletarijat since 2016.
 
With influences ranging from Stigmata and Mills to Master Reese and Petar Dundov, Sev Dah is a versatile but headstrong DJ that can gently ease a thumb in at midnight or fervently thrust it down the hatch at peak time.
