     Rotney P is the definitive, true hip-hop artist with a taste for honesty, passion and the drive to maintain artful creative music. His West Los Angeles - Southern California roots in 90s hip-hop and electronic music came at an early age, listening to the likes of revolutionaries such as Michael Jackson, Pharrell Williams and Daft Punk. Until now, he has gained a great deal of inspiration from being raised by a single mom and seeing his older brothers down falls with one being sentenced to life in prison and the other being shot to gang affiliation. Growing up amidst their raw and original method for creative collaboration.                          
        Now as a father, Rotney owes much of his perspectives and musical ideas on simply staying true to himself and being comfortable with living life in the moment. Dropping on May 20th, his upcoming 7 Track EP entitled “ManiaK”, has a different and more transparent approach than the current wave of commercial hip-hop. Rotney credits everything from starting over, beautiful women, his “ManiaK” tendencies, and even the fashion industry, as his muses for writing and composing material for this "ManiaK" project. In collaboration with L.A. based artist-producer, Antonio "Nice" Jackson, The “ManiaK EP” release, along with an exclusive music video, will push the boundaries between artistic freedom, self-preservation and emotional expression.
