Fast rising Israeli producer, OMRI., returns to Disco Halal with his debut EP ‘My Name Is Omri Dot’. Across four tracks the artist showcases his unique, psychedelic sound that proves just why he’s one of Tel Aviv’s hottest exports right now. Spanning left-field house, indie-dance, and breakbeat, the artist takes us on a sonic journey across his homeland, opening our eyes to the endless possibilities of dance music. For the label, the EP reflects an exotic sound reminiscent of some of our early pioneers– Moscoman, Red Axes, Simple Symmetry – and for emerging, fearless, pioneering talents like OMRI. OMRI. represents a vibrant new generation of musicians emerging out of Tel Aviv, channelling the city's renowned freedom of expression, creating dance music free of the status quo, void of any expectation. It’s an approach heard perfectly on this EP, whether it be via the relentless warped groove of ‘Snakes In The Bed’, the artists futuristic take on breakbeat, with a dubstep esque twist on ‘The Spotlight’, or the evocative, mind numbing vocals on ‘The Great Illusion’, the artist never fails to surprise, consistently veering in new directions.

As far as debut EP’s go, ‘My Name Is Omri Dot’ is a true statement of intent from the artist. Now ready to take his Middle Eastern sound across the globe, these four tracks simply represent the beginning of an exciting journey for OMRI. The young duo from Israel delivers a dynamic release with powerful leads and acid elements gravitating between dark disco and acid house. The EP is composed by two original tracks: Acid Jungle and Under Attack and the tracks have already been playing around the globe, receiving great response on the dancefloors of renowned festivals and clubs around the globe. The duo adds the house imprint to their release’s roster alongside our fellow labels Phisica and Ritual.

With a Dark Disco sounding introduction on the eponymous 'Acid Jungle' the listener slides smoothly to a more sinister register. The animal’s are let out during the build up to gather and the acid synths compiled with grooving snares and the vocals get you through this dancing adventure.

PREMIERE! Mishell  "Twist" (RCF#038)

We continue to obey our most primitive and basic instincts. Music from the caves is back with a release by the artist Yourr. It brings three original tracks created from the depths of his soul, complemented by two prodigious minds in production studios. The renowned Mishell and our own I AM JAS. The original tracks have a solid sound, with no hesitation. They quickly tell you where they want to go from the first beats. "I like your shirt" is the name of the EP. Its fragmented vocals and good groove position it as a powerful track for dance floors. Mishell is in charge of remixing this track. He has done an excellent job. Harder and more marked sounds, with an elegant Dub-style Synth that takes the track to another dimension. Its a pleasure to hear the evolution of the remix from the first beats to the last. The second original, "Good Guy", is more melodic in structure, but without falling into the genre cliche. It's treated in an elegant way and developed in a way that hooks you. I AM JAS contributes his vision to this track. It's a remix work that stands out. Marked bass lines, depth, and impact. This work will not leave anyone indifferent. Finally, Yourr gives us another gift in the form of a gem called "PC World". Where the percussion stands out from the beginning. It's a track that hooks you as it progresses. Potent snare hits on the build-up to break cleanly. Undoubtedly a good EP closure. A reference made for enjoyment on dance floors. Do you dance?
