Theus Mago is the alter ego of Mexican producer Mateo González, responsible for dance music projects such as Bufi (Kitsuné/Discotexas), Sonido Fantasma (Turbo Recordings) and currently co-head of label Duro. Theus Mago is a new side of Mateo obscure experimental rhythms meet the rigourness of the party dancefloor. In 2015, Theus Mago released “Ritmo Extraterrestre” through the french/ german label Correspondant, earning quick support from the likes of Solomun, Dixon, Âme and Haai, kicking off a
constantly busy world touring schedule. Mateo’s alter ego has lately been on a steady streak of solid releases, including labels around the globe such as Lumiere Noire, Turbo Recordings, Optimo, Ombra Intl, Duro, Feines Tier, Correspondant and Pets Recordings, among many others.

Skelesys has been working on different music lately, on a wide spectrum of styles, which hopefully will end up being an album. For the last couple of months he was making a lot new material, some of it for the dancefloor, some for listening while lying in bed. This set is recorded live in the studio so it feels more like jamming sometimes, seeing what could come up. He added some vocals on top as well as his guitar bits and lots of 80s vibe sounds from his synths. Skelesys loves musical challenges of putting out something that comes up as a spontaneous idea, it gives him adrenaline at some point, he says.

Whether hosting a stage at festivals like Fusion or their music playing at intimate underground venues, the labels sound acquires the most discerning of electronic music enthusiasts and has a life of its own.

Recently we collaborated with the label and a selection of the Tom Tom Disco family to support Ballroom Blitz and Palestinian Radio Alhara to raise money for those most affected by the explosion in Beirut. Over the course of the coming week we're delighted to share the sets during this radio event via the Sinchi Channel. Featured artists include Leonor, Tushen Raï & Warum, Cornelius Doctor, Bufi, Hanzo & Yaman, Tony Disco, Rigopolar and Lucare b2b with Aurum.
