A Gamete Glass Tale is a multi-disciplinary art project created by French glass sculptor Jeanne Briand and French-Italian musician Romain Azzaro. It combines an art installation and a music study on the interactions between sound and glass.

The installation is made of glass sculptures generating sounds when activated by breath. Their abstract forms recall the gametes, the reproductive cells that she calls “cyborg gametes”, reinterpreted with laboratory test tubes. These gametes are connected to one another and fuse through their audio DNA.
Gamete Glass has been exhibited in 2016 in Paris at the Cité des Arts and the Volatje Art Fair in Colombia.

Bardo #1 on Refuge Worldwide

Having learned the piano since childhood and practicing on his drum machine for almost fifteen years, Vadim Svoboda came up with his own style, hard to label.

This Ep, dedicated to a fly, is a perfect example of it. Produced by his long time friend Romain Azzaro in Gustav-Muller studios in Berlin, the Extended play is composed of three intimate songs, played on muted pianos and rearranged, oscillating between classical music, jazz, and electronic mantras. Its sound brings you into the very core of Vadim Svoboda’s fantasy.

“One evening, a fly living its last moment landed on my hand while I was playing the piano. As I was going through the octave, I noticed it was flapping its wings to give me the main three notes of the “last flutter” theme. I only had to come up with the notes for the left hand. It then stayed hours with me, listening to the song we had created together, before disappearing”

One introduction and two dance pieces extracted from the crude reality he had to experience at an early age. The evolving sound of this EP throws its listeners into the dark and violent places that belong to his past. The childish melody of the intro suddenly opens on an intense break beat and ends with Vimory, a brutal and profound track.
