As we touch down for a refuel on Earth, a super natural fog has come over the planet - the moon has multiplied and the animals are as tall as the sky, and the music is otherworldly, yet seems to be emanating from a subterranean source deep within the crust of the outer mantle. Exiting the grime of Jupiter, the dazzling lights of Saturn's mechanical disco ball come into view. Shimmering shards of synth and blistering house rhythms welcome the weary traveller. Finding a dock on the north side of the electro-cantina, RRK finds the dancefloor alive and well, an interdimensional pitstop for groovers from around the galaxy. Saturn's rings pulse with the crisp 4/4 thump and glistening melodies flow across the ethersphere. This is the last such stop before a engaging hyperspeed and journeying into the outer reaches of the system.

Solstice Sunset: Contact Improv Set (Live 9.7.23)

After unexpected radio silence among the gaseous giants, our craft has returned to contact with cryptic messages of unknown origin. Now at cruising altitude of 10,000 sinewomps, our pilot has reached a speed that exceeds imagination. Using the synthetic gills of his pneumatic wobble detector, he was able to pick up audio samples off the eastern coast of Neptune's omnisphere. The transcriptions contain an almalgam of shamanic tongue, synthetic squelch and glitched percussion, typical of Sector B2B, a hotspot for the illicit spice trade. With sonic specimens collected and digitized, our captain sets his sights on the final leg of his journey: then edge of the galaxy.

Deep Space Cruising

At the edge of the galaxy our craft reaches past the limits of known time and space. We've reached the last coordinates on our journey, only to discover that an infinite field of sound exists in the ether. Our captain, enraptured by the discovery of yet unheard harmonics, unbuckles the harness and floats out of the cockpit for the last time. Drifting into the beyond, his body becomes the music. Heavenly soundscapes and arpeggiated melodies brush past his ears, reminding him of a home he will never see again. Once lost in the pursuit of new frequencies, he gently dissolves into the great force of creation. Gliding into the dark abyss, RRK44 becomes the constant unfolding of new momentary planes of existence.
