'Orbit: Juan Ibañez' is the second episode in the 'Orbit' concept from SLC-6 Music which highlights core artists from the label.  The series features new originals, remixes, reworks, and previously released music - all swirling in orbit around the featured artist.  In this second act, Juan Ibañez is the barycenter.  The Argentinian's star has been rising fast since being discovered by now frequent musical collaborator D.J. MacIntyre for his first commercial release in early 2019 on SLC-6 Music.  Since that time Juan has become a favorite within the Progressive community with releases on respected labels such as The Soundgarden, Clubsonica, Freegrant, Droid9, Balkan Connection, Massive Harmony, onedotsixtwo, Sound Avenue Label Group, Soundteller, AH Digital, INU, Or Two Strangers, and others.

The celestial musical bodies swirling around Juan which comprise the release include a new original called 'Valley of the Moon,' new remixes from Andres Moris, Evegrem, Cedren and Manu-l, and Axel Zambrano, as well as re-releases of five originals, remixes from Andre Moret, Echo Daft, Hypnoitised and PatriZe, Shanil Alox, and Cedren and Manu-l, and Juan's own remixes of D.J. MacIntyre, Astropilot, Casper Keys, and Hypnotised.  Cumulatively, these tracks showcase the melodic, percussive, and always musical style which is distinctly Juan's, and which has made him an integral part of SLC-6 Music.

Recently featured in flagship label compilation Anjunadeep 13, Russian producers Makebo and Amonita present new single ‘Back To The Roots’.

With many releases to their name as solo artists on labels including Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream and Shanti Moscow Radio, Makebo and Amonita have recently becoming a powerful production duo, and last year founded their own imprint, Rubicunda, which has already won support from the likes of Tim Green and Volen Sentir.

Their new single, ‘Back To The Roots’ features the unmistakable strings sample from The Verve’s 1997 track ‘Bittersweet Symphony’ and shows off the pair’s prowess for crafting atmospheric organic house melodies.

First showcased by Hernán Cattáneo in his 2019 Burning Man set, ‘Back To The Roots’ has already seen support from the likes of Nick Warren and Vintage Culture, and after it was played by Anjunadeep label bosses James Grant and Jody Wisternoff at Printworks London last winter, it has become a hotly sought-after record, with over four million plays on YouTube already.

Makebo & Amonita - Back To The Roots

Andrea Cassino's association with Particles stretches back to an August 2011 remix of Alessando Diga. A further six reworkings have graced the Particles catalogue while original music in the shape of 2017's "Divine", 2020's "Losing Part of Me" and October 2021's "Asante" have graced Proton Music. Having previously made a name for himself as one half of the Cassino and Laben duo, the Italian born artist now returns to Particles with a typically powerful remix of "Salvage". Driving forwards with a dynamic 16th note bass pattern, white noise washes and clicking, popping percussion lay the foundation for the sumptuous melodic phrasing from Travis Jesse's original to flow across the near 9-minute interpretation. Familiar refrains continue to please while Cassino's trademark sonic layering and silky-smooth pads add elegance and class in bountiful measures.

Every time Guy J releases his solo material on Lost & Found, the world of music lovers is ready for a treat. He's not only one of the leaders of the global scene but a musical innovator pushing the limits of studio techniques and borders of abstract emotional content. His latest conceptual masterpiece consists of two tracks ranging in length from over 7 to almost 11 minutes and a total run time of over 18 minutes. The opening track, Last Standing, blends the progressive motifs with an out-of-this-world anthemic breakdown. The piece is simultaneously melodic and nostalgic but manages to deliver a new, previously unheard edge to the technical execution of the production. The closing track, Fire, uses temperamental arpeggio resonances, constructing a mystical soundscape for a joyride into a higher state of perception. Guy’s sonic skills work as a hypnotic tool. Jody Wisternoff & James Grant release 'Blue Space', the third single off Jody's upcoming LP 'Nightwhisper'. 

Written the week following label festival Anjunadeep Explorations, 'Blue Space' was inspired by the bittersweet emotions of the beautiful surroundings and people, coupled with the passing away of Jody's father. On the track, James reminisces "We built the track around an initial musical idea we had together, then Jinadu's beautiful vocals came later and took the track in a more optimistic but still melancholic direction". 

Nightwhisper is out May 1.
