A second remix sees, Zankee Gulati return to the Proton fold. A regular on Particles, not least through his 2018 “Breathe” EP, the Sydney-based star has found himself at the forefront of the
modern progressive house scene with a string of releases on a host of elite labels that include the likes of Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden, John Digweed’s Bedrock and GMJ & Matter’s
Meanwhile / Meanwhile Horizons. Indeed, it was at the annual Amsterdam Dance Event festival in October 2023 that saw the Australian perform at the duo’s sold-out Meanwhile showcase. As
comfortable standing behind the decks as he is sitting in the studio, a single remix of Rick Pier O’Neil’s “Imperial” in late 2022 is now joined by a second as Zankee Gulati transforms “Odyssey” into a broody rhythmic gem. Developing easily over its duration, echoes of the original float through its 8-minutes with familiar melodic refrains and atmospheric pads. Full of additional production material, 
 complex textures, white-noise effect and muted arpeggio, they
combine to create a deliciously rich and full-flavoured sound that resonates fully in the second half.
