“Teresa Ferreiro (@teresa_ferreiro) works as a researcher, DJ, illustrator and a  comic artist. She is doing a PhD about Gender Studies and comics and runs a cultural association and music magazine called Ruido de Fondo ( @ruidodefondoorg)Her mixes have appeared in international radios such us Rinse FM in Paris, Kiosk in Brussels or Fanzine Project (A Coruña) in addition to participating with her sets in events such as Cheeky NYE at Café Juno in London or Ciclo Vangal in Museo do Pobo in Santiago de Compostela, her hometown. Overtime and after living in different places, Teresa developed an increasingly eclectic interest in music and more prone to experimental mixes.

In the new episode of our podcast, we present Märis (@djjoeylou). She is a German-American performance artist, musician and producer based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Her musical persona is driven by a diverse combination of writing and producing songs shaped by the soul, RnB and indie scene and standing in front of the decks at night letting out the techno, synth-wave and break-beat inspired side in her.
"Art doesn’t need a category or genre to work its magic. Art needs a statement and an emotion" – is the core guideline for anything Marie-Lou presents as an artist to people. Besides playing behind the decks Marie-Lou also takes a more activistic role as co-founder of Zena Kollektiv (@zenakollektiv) - a Heidelberg, Germany based feminist DJ collective supporting FLINTA* artists in the electronic music and club culture.

On her mix, she said she wanted to take a story-telling and conceptual approach with a clear beginning and end. She mixed acoustic instruments with electronic beats that show different sides of the same track elements throughout the set.
