David Lynch has passed away. I’m really going to miss the old guy on this planet. Sometimes, you think: damn, what a dark world, how do you make peace with the chaos and darkness of life? And then, in complete helplessness, you watch Weather Report and actually manage to get distracted, trying to follow David Lynch’s lead — his mindset, and, simply put, his coolness.

These are my role models for old age: John Cage, Pyotr Mamonov, David Lynch, and David Hockney (wishing him good health!!).

These people, each in their own way, helped and supported — with their views, interpretations, subtle advice, and the example of how to glide through life in a way that makes things a little easier and lighter. I’ve tried to soak up their interviews, articles, books, and work like a sponge, and I’m truly grateful that there are people who, despite everything, find the strength to support others, even across time and space.
