Apranik Recordings is a musical embodiment of the thousands of years of strength and defiance of Iranian women. Founded as a response to the Woman, Life, Freedom Movement of the 2022 Iranian Revolution, Apranik Recordings aims highlight the work of electronic music artists whose music embodies the mission of the label: to be strong, to be outspoken, to be bright, and to inspire. Apranik Recordings is a collaborative project between Nesa Azadikhah and AIDA. 
Our first release is a VA Compilation Album of all Iranian Women Artists, in solidarity with the women-led revolution that is currently taking place in Iran.

VA - Woman Life Freedom

@mahyar-parsa-100468204 is a Dubai based artist. He discovered his passion for electronic sounds in around 2015. Since he moved to Dubai, there was no record store or a proper venue to get people more educated and familiar with underground sounds until he found Analog Room, which was running amazing party's every weekend alongside legendary artists from all around the world. Finding Analog Room helped him discover the world of underground electronic sounds. 
His style can be described as groovy house, minimal, techno, and a unique Breakbeat and UK Garage sounds.

Canadian label Breathing Room Records is back with their third digital release after a lengthy pandemic-related hiatus. A little over two years after their previous outing, they are happy to introduce Tropica, a duo from Newcastle, UK. Forest Floor is their debut EP and it includes three original tracks as well as a remix from Toronto-based producer and DJ, Ciel. This is the first remix in Breathing Room’s catalogue.

All three originals are slow and chuggy. Monstera Deliciosa, the opening track, is driven by warm chords and a wobbly synth line while a siren-esque pad weaves in and out. Birds of Paradise continues on a similar wavelength but dives a little further into acid territory with its lead and stays true to its name with different birds contributing to the overall ambience. Devil’s Ivy is a little darker in tone with it’s delayed pads, a didgeridoo and haunting scream-like samples permeating throughout. Ciel’s take on Monstera Deliciosa stays true to the original but introduces a juxtaposing, almost playful lead and tougher percussion, giving the track a faster, bouncier feel.

Tel Aviv-based producer, vocalist and live performer May Lavie joins the Human Endeavour Records family for its fourth release, ‘Are You Having A Good Day?’, out in full today.

The four tracks are a window into May’s mind-expanding world, which she creates through hypnotic, textural loops and spoken samples dug up from all corners of the Internet. 

The moody sonics of ‘The Illusion’ complete the package. A mystifying melody and solid kick plod along, while May’s vocal chants ring out over a psychedelic melodica sequence.
