Our 'Good Morning from ...' Guest Mix series will explore different artists from all around the world as they take us on a journey with their distinct and unique sounds that they'll showcase to represent their taste, surroundings and upbringing.

Today, we’re back in the UK for an early morning story from a duo whose storytelling capabilities have seen them travel far and wide, and today they’ve spoilt us with a gorgeous two and a half hour tale; sit down with us alongside @deathonthebalcony

Travel with us to Blackpool on the Flyde Coast, in Northern England, where neon-lit amusements, bustling funfairs and golden, sandy beaches are everywhere to see. 

As we walk, you can hear the constant beeps and chimes of the slot machines, where wins and losses are part of everyday life. If you try your luck on The Golden Mile, which side of the coin will you sit on?

We're takin' it easy today with LADS' fantastic summer sip: the Slow Comfortable Screw Against The Wall. A riff on the Screwdriver, with Sloe Gin in place of Vodka, the Slow Crew cocktail family emerged in the 80s. LADS' version takes you on a sweet and sexy downtempo ride, perfect to while away a hot late summer night.  

Who are LADS? One German. One South African. Germafrican if you want. Meeting online (not Tinder), the two technical creatives ditched their failing modelling careers to make electronic music that babies are made to... This journey has led to the duo releasing on labels such as Lost & Found, Akbal, Nie Wieder Schlafen, Buddha Bar and seen their music supported by some of the biggest names in the industry including Solomun, Adriatique, Acid Pauli, Be Svendsen, Guy J and more. 

Being away from the clubs and festivals, the duo decided to go on a downtempo listening journey with their exclusive mix for Schirmchendrink.  "This really allows the listener to appreciate the space in between the rhythms and melodies. We named this mix after a cocktail out of the 1980s and 1990s with a racy name and definitely way too much sugar 😉  Enjoy this long comfortable screw against the wall. At least this time, it ain't in a dirty bathroom stall 😉!"

"It was already a really overwhelming, but also exhausting, week for me at my first Burning Man. Then there was this Friday night. From the moment I started playing I felt so good and watching all those tiny lights on people's bikes heading towards the bus, it looked so beautiful. After my set I had so much energy that I stayed and danced on the bus for at least 12 more hours. This was a very special experience and that bus is definitely one of the coolest things I've ever played on, and I'm more than happy that I had a little role in this whole adventure.

Burning Man has always been my favorite place to DJ in the world. There's a certain feeling of freedom I experience playing music on the playa, and this feeling arises from the beauty of the physical surroundings, the enthusiasm of the people who wander onto the dance floor, and my own attitude that shapes how I approach my sets in the desert.

Thank you to the entire Kazbah crew for gifting me a timeslot. Such a beautiful group of people who created a spectacular platform to artists to share music. I hope you enjoy the recording!

Alright, Gab Rhome, you convinced us! Our livers (and waistlines) could use a cleansing break after all those delicious cocktails. Let’s cut out booze for a while and enjoy a rejuvenating and energizing glass of the earth’s most delicious, most healthy foods: milk!  

Gab Rhome, born in Montréal and living in NYC, milked his favorite cow (what’s her name by the way?) on his farm to ensure today’s Schirmchendrink is full of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. 

Grab a cookie and dip it into Gab’s dreamy and hypnotic vibes. 

He began his musical journey at an early age playing multiple instruments while being shaped by jazz music, and it only took a few years before making a transition towards the rhythms of dance music. 

Only within few years of producing Gab gained worldwide attention with releases on label heavy weights such as All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep, Kindisch, Get Physical and Last night on Earth.  

His delicate melodic tech-house productions have brought him on journeys across the globe, for example to the @radiovenao Gathering in Panama, where this set was recorded. As you are about to experience, a similar voyage is built during his dj sets.

A path meanders steadily into the golden meadow...all possible futures lie ahead...

A long-time favourite in his native country, Gadi Mitrani has been representing the Turkish underground with esteem since he first burst onto the scene over 15 years ago. A unique and prodigious talent, Mitrani’s ceaseless love for all things electronic music has led to some of the scene’s most hallowed and celebrated dancefloors. A true visionary, he was one of the first to notice the potential of Turkey’s electronic music scene — and as such is deemed an influential figure to many of the country’s fledgling electronic music producers.

Famed for his signature deep, tech and prog-heavy sets, Mitrani is a DJ notable for his versatility and a man who’s more than able to chop it up with the best of them. In 2015 he debuted on Kompakt KX courtesy of ‘Key of Stillness’, a suitably momentous cut that introduced Mitrani to a whole new audience and duly elevated his status within the global electronic music process. Supported by well-known DJs such as Hernan Cattaneo and Powel, it’s a true gem in a discography that’s littered with highlights.

The last few years have been equally fruitful for Mitrani. Now a firm fixture in some of the globe’s best-known labels, he’s repped everyone from Pablo Bolivar’s Seven Villas, Lee Burridge & Hoj’s Tale & Tone to Maurice Aymard’s Galaktika over past while, with Hernan Cattaneo, Guy Mantzur, Khen, Gabriel Ananda and ‪Danny Howells‬ all regularly supporting his music in their sets. Production duties aside, Mitrani has also shared the stage with the likes of Guy J, &Me, Michael Mayer, Guy Mantzur, Patrice Baumel, Rampa and Jeremy Olander. Aside from appearing alongside the latter list, he’s also rocked stages recently in Ibiza as well as at Off Sonar and Burning Man: proof if needed that this is a man currently on a fierce upward trajectory.

Gadi has some really incredible future releases in store - keep your eyes peeled and your ears perked.
