Hello and welcome back to The Poeticast, this week we are joined by UK Techno producer and DJ Rowka who delivers a heavy, raw electronic mix for Episode 204.

Rowka is a Techno producer hailing from the North of the UK. His unique sound has been influenced by the likes of Joe Farr, Blawan and Ansome. This can be heard in the way he shapes his music with its central features being distorted percussive patterns, punishing kicks and industrial atmosphere. Rowka has released music with a number of labels including Plus Ultra, Grounded, Loose Lips, Beef Records and Upperberry, which have all received support from some of the genres most in demand talent. 

2019 is set to be a huge year for this artist with a number of original eps and contributions already confirmed with some very well respected labels. You can also find the artist playing more gigs and also potentially starting his own by monthly radio show.

This mix's artwork features the British Bumblebee, 3 out of the 25 native species has disappeared in the last 50 years and the overall population is on a steep decline and due to be extinct in the next 5 years. British Bumble Bees contribute a to the entire world's ecosystem and are responsible for a large amount of the pollination of most plants across the British landscape.

Rowka - Deconstruct [UX011 | Premiere]

The heavy silver machinery grinded menacingly, the sounds echoing through the corridors of the factory. Despite this it felt eerily quiet; no chattering voices, no music transmitting from the radios around the work rooms. There was no longer any need for humans in this place, their capabilities were no match for these mechanics. It had become a self-functioning operation, taking out the very component that created them in the first place. This was a vision of the future, soon there would become no need for the living. 

Manchester-native Rowka returns to JoeFarr's User Experience imprint for an EP after debuting on a VA compilation in April of this year. This time label boss Joe and Tenebre step up for remix duties, the latter bringing omnious metallic textures to turn 'Source' into an off-kilter techno workout.

For our next premiere we bring to you a hench remix of Rowka's 'Deconstruct' by UX label bossman JoeFarr.  

Having last appeared on the UX VA with a track titled ‘Haff’ and before that with his remix of ‘Don’t Be Afraid’ Rowka now steps up to bring two original tracks for UX011 which also includes remixes from Tenebre and JoeFarr.
