This is a cover of a really beautiful old French song called "Les Feuilles Mortes" Also known as "Autumn Leaves" in English.

This is a piano piece that I've been playing around with over the last few years,  parts of I wrote while I was in Ontario, some parts in Japan, and some parts in Vancouver so it's been a few years in the making and it's turned into a bit of an epic piece now that I've joined all the different parts together...

This is by no means the final version, this was my experimentation with putting it all together as it came into my head...

One morning I woke up early enough to sit at my piano and play around a bit before heading to work... I couldn't help but notice the morning dew as I looked out the window- and then this piece kind of came to me out of nowhere...

So this is a piece I more or less improvised on the piano, (so please forgive a few minor hiccups here and there) hope you enjoy it!

I'd like to dedicate this to all those who have lost family members and loved ones.  Let's pray for peace so this madness of killing each other can finally come to an end.

For thousands of years people have engaged in warfare and it's been devastating to all those involved, leaving us in horrific states of turmoil and grief, why not give peace a try?

In commemoration of Remembrance Day, and the Birth of Baha'u'llah I thought this was a fitting recording to share. 

These are words of a nobleman from the 1800's who was persecuted for the entirety of his life for sharing a message of love and unity to the world. 

This is one of the quotations I particularly loved so I put it to music as an easy way to remember some very powerful words:

"When a thought of war comes oppose it by a stronger thought of peace. A thought of hatred must be destroyed by a more powerful thought of love"

Colours Of The Wind

This is my first instrumental guitar song ever, and the very first in an alternate tuning. I've been experimenting with alternate tunings (I just played around with them until they sounded nice to me- I think mostly Ds and As) The piece is not quite finalized (and by no means perfect in this recording) but I thought I'd share it anyway cause I think it has some potential...

The reason for the title was two-fold: since the tuning is in D, I was going to call the file D-riff just to remind myself of the key (I usually have a terrible time naming songs), then I realized it sounded a bit like Drift, which is kind of how I've been feeling-drifting through life- so "Drifting" seemed appropriate!

*There are some days where I can't face the reality of existence and life is just too much to continue on... It was on one of those days that I wrote this song and it helped me to get through what I was dealing with, hopefully it will help others as well and help them come out the other side...

This is a recording from a performance I was doing (so it's not perfect) but it's a piece I've been working on and am still in the process of composing. Written over a period of about 9 years, in 4 different locations, throughout different times in my life, I'm beginning to think it might be the soundtrack to my life. ;)

This is a little experimental piece I came up with on the spot one night when I was bored, just playing around with an alternate tuning... just recorded one vocal part over top of another until it came out like this... It made me think of sirens in the ocean so I thought I'd call it "Siren's song" Hope you enjoy it!

Seemed appropriate today to post this Hidden Word I put to music "Grieve not" - Dedicated to all my American friends who may be upset or disheartened by this election...
Let's not become overwhelmed with hatred or fear, this is an opportunity to come together and overcome any injustices with cooperation...We're stronger when we work together for a common goal, a common vision- the education and advancement of human civilization. I truly believe there is something greater at work despite the state of the world today and we can choose be a part of it if we align ourselves with peace, love and unity, and actively work for the betterment of the world.

For our music production class we had to record a creative cover of a well-known song, so I came up with a new melody for Avril Lavigne's "Complicated" and my class partner Lina Hong did an AMAZING job adding and arranging different instruments and mixing it! I've always loved this song and finally decided to do my own version of it... I was setting up my recording gear yesterday and thought I would test it out with this song.. (dont mind the buzzing guitar, I think it may be running out of batteries)
