Happy 40th to the album Sweet Dreams (are made of this). FREE DL on HYPEDDIT - link above. The title track never left the disco but this very cinematic and lesser known song from the album has haunted me forever, so I had to re-tweak it for the dance floor as nothing brings music to life more than people dancing to it. Thank you to Eurythmics for inspiring me since childhood. I keep coming back to their sound again and again.

Another edit I'm letting fly from my hard drive after many years of playing it at our Fleetmac Wood parties. The original is slow and I felt it needed just a few tweaks to make it a dance floor groover, mainly a major tempo push, some light drama and a bit of kick drum oomph. It's amazing how this deep-cut gets people moving. There's an other-worldly euphoria about this track - which by all reports, was Peter's state of mind at the time of writing it. People always ask if this is Santana, which is interesting since Santana covered Peter Green's (Fleetwood Mac) Black Magic Woman with great success. Thank you Peter Green for your beautiful music. The famous guitar solo that changed the lives of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Frozen Love catapulted the duo into the star line-up of Fleetwood Mac. This edit is pretty true to the original with some small tweaks, flourishes and some extra drums in the intro and outro. Here's hoping that Stevie and Lindsey plan on a reissue of this rare and beautiful album.

Roxanne Roll's Power Disco Mix

The only thing wrong with the original release of Rumours was that there wasn't enough space to fit Silver Springs on it. Relegated to the B side of Go Your Own Way, this beautiful song didn't quite get its moment in the sun, which caused some friction within the band (like they needed more).

This edit was created to celebrate the 40th birthday of Rumours and to bring a track that means so much to fans and myself - to the dance floor. The original can't be bettered, but I enjoyed adding some cosmic disco elements and extensions. I played it for the first time at Public Works San Francisco at our Fleetmac Wood Rumours Rave (on the official anniversary date of the album's release). The response was great from the crowd, which meant a lot as its a daunting task to edit a track you love so much.

The recent Rumours Deluxe re-release now includes Silver Springs. So all is right in the world and as it should be.

Happy 75th Birthday to the shining spark that is Joni Mitchell. This remix of 'Woodstock' is dedicated to The Secret Garden Party (UK) for giving us the most beautiful garden to play in over the years.

I was lucky to play this remix at Mistress Mary and Burning Man this year and Joni's lyrics communicate the magic that I feel when we gather together for all the right reasons.

A quote from Joni Mitchell about the song:
“When I wrote ‘Woodstock,’ two or three times that I first performed it, I had to stop before I would get so caught up in emotion. I guess it was because I didn’t go to Woodstock but I watched it on television and it seemed like an amazing thing to me that under the circumstances, that many people helped each other out, they delivered babies in the wild, they shared their food. There was so much brotherhood. … It really moved me.”
