If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks (and remixes of tracks) that have been previously submitted, and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

Kawasaki is the second independently produced release from Hayward’s Heath’s Roxie Grant. 

In the depths of Kawasaki’s catchy dream core, shoegaze, electronica vibe you’ll follow a hard hitting, dark story at its core with the protagonist experiencing the realisation of their situation. Roxie’s favourite line is “I was confused, I loved your cat more than I loved you”. 
The song is a reminder to take care of yourself, if something doesn’t feel right-speak to someone you trust and get help.

Kansas City is Roxie Grant’s debut single. It evokes the melancholic yearning for someone you instantly click with and could be a soul mate but deep down know you’ll never be with.

Written on a balcony in the mountains of Chamonix-France, Indie folk artist Roxie Grant’s acoustic version of  her track ‘Mutual Muses’ encapsulates a deep yearning and affection for a special person who inspires creativity, soul connection and love-mutually in each other’s lives. I’m Roxie Grant, an Alt-folk/ Indie Rock songwriter/artist, multi instrumentalist and producer from near Brighton UK. 
I’ve been a musician since I was a teenager playing in alt rock bands up in Newcastle and I started creating as a solo artist in 2023.Since written, recorded , independently produced and released 19 original singles as well as playing live solo shows as much as possible. 
I’m passionate for there to be more female representation in the industry and especially for those who aren’t 17 anymore who think they’re too old-that they can be bad ass and successful if they want to be if they have the right mindset.

In 2024 I set a personal challenge to release an original track each month for the whole year with 13 singles at the end.
