By anyone's standards, KI/KI has had a meteoric rise. She started DJing at queer party SPIELRAUM in Amsterdam in 2018, and by now she's one of Europe's most-talked about DJs. She blends modern strands of techno with trance and acid in a way that feels all her own, veering away from the sugar highs of other DJs or the clobbering kick drums of so much fast dance music. Her style is aerodynamic and sleek, not bludgeoning.

In addition to her DJ career, KI/KI runs the label slash, which has put out music from the likes of Alpha Tracks, Peachlyfe and Newa, artists who share her canny blend of trance and techno aesthetics and sneaky pop sensibilities. Acid is another big love, as shown by her 5HRS OF ACID concept. The decades-old sound has become a key part of her style and appeal, as you'll hear on her RA Podcast. It's a barreling 90 minutes through techno and trance with trap and dubstep accents, breathless but perfectly paced.

The iconic Ellen Allien’s journey through the years is a blueprint for a healthy underground community and grounded career in music. Her playful mind and openness to sharing knowledge, imbues her art with an energy and inspiration that’s been highly influential to the subculture across music, art, design and fashion in her native Berlin. A constant source of new ideas, energy and inspiration, Ellen’s comprehensive knowledge and intuitive approach to music is part of her genetic makeup, she has cultivated her own identity while also guiding the evolution of electronic music worldwide. Her future-facing sound takes influence from the early pioneers of techno, while painting a vivid, prophetic image of where we’re going next. Over ten albums, and countless singles, EPs, remixes and collaborations, Ellen’s carved her own niche in dark rave and techno, and presiding over a self-made empire and deep roots in the community. 

In her role as head of BPitch since 1999, and UFO Inc. since 2019, Ellen channels her ceaseless passion for digging into A&R, seeking out and nurturing new talent, alongside established artists and friends. She’s a Ellen Allien artist biography - 2023 dynamic selector who prides herself on her extensive knowledge of music and dance floors, travelling the globe as a DJ she’s played at every major club and festival on the circuit. She’s run the We Are Not Alone parties in her hometown of Berlin over the past years. The 50 hour raves over 3 floors began at Griesmühle and now home at RSO, with the party now touring worldwide. During the pandemic she channelled her energy into supporting the community and connecting with her fans over her intimate Balcony Streaming sessions, hosted from her home in Berlin.

D-FORMATION's rise as a DJ and producer continues to be unstoppable, achieving and securing the recognition and support of the great majority of the underground industry from Tech and Progressive House to Trance itself. And all that was due to those melodic tinges, intrinsic and inherent to his tracks, which delighted and made wonders with artists such as Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo or Deep Dish, which also enabled him to work for important record labels like Sony Music, Virgin Records, EMI, Beatfreak, Tusom, Toolroom, Yoshitoshi, Frequenza, Nervous, Twisted, CR2, Stereo Productions, Monique Musique or Baroque.
Numerous prizes as a DJ and as a producer granted by the industry vouch for all those years of his professional career, although it is noteworthy his #39 position in the Top 100 DJs of the prestigious DJMAG magazine, the highest ranking that a Spanish DJ has ever achieved (véase archivo). Nowadays he combines his work at the studio with an almost permanent tour across the best festivals and events in the entire world such as Space, Amnesia, Privilege or Pacha in Ibiza, Ageha and Womb (Tokyo) and more.
