ICE WEEK 
International Composer Exchange Week 2022
The ICE WEEK 2022, hosted by Tempus Konnex and Kulturreflex e.V., provides rising composers the unique opportunity to make their work known and establish new contacts. All pieces chosen during the international call for scores are performed by the Ensemble Tempus Konnex on July 2022 at the „Alte Handelsbörse“ (Old Stock Exchange) Leipzig, with some of the works additionally being performed on international stages - - such as in New York. The festival provides exceptional applicants with the chance to learn from and converse with prestigious composers such as Annette Schlünz, Ann Cleare and Jason Eckardt. Participants also have to opportunity to meet other young composers and patrons of the arts. The week consists of roundtable discussions, rehearsals, concerts, workshops and individual meetings.

Painting and composition, as part of the series 'Desert Rose.'
The composition is based on a previous improvisation.  The performance begins notated and transitions into an improvised period, reflecting the natural and unpredictable nature of the desert rose and flame.
