THE ORIGIN OF PROPHET AND THE TRUE WISE CONCEPT Jason Asher a.k.a. Prophet was born in Brooklyn N.Y in the 70’s . By the time he graduated high school on Staten Island, the whole of the Island (Shaolin) knew him as Prophet the Mad Monk from the Wu Tang Inner Chamber. When Wu Tang Clan, Prophet’s high school mates, got their record deal and coined the phrase Wu Tang, many artists from Shaolin stopped referring to the Wu Tang Slang, lest they would seem as imitators. Although the Wu Tang Slang was common to all rappers on the Shaolin, not just the ones that got signed. This was when Prophet began calling his personal way of delivery, the True Wise style. True Wise, is basically the combination of two elements. The truth about the harsh realities of project living, and the wisdom that can also be found there. It was in the ghettos of Staten Island and Brooklyn, that Prophet learned both. He learned from the streets, but he was also drawn to the vibes of the Rastas that were in the community. By the time he had turned 16, he was wearing his bongo dreadlocks, spending much time reasoning with the elders in the weed spots, and learning about H.I.M. Haile Selassie, Marcus Garvey, and many others. Though Prophet grew spiritually throughout the years, he never forgot where he came from. Even after repatriating to Ethiopia, Prophet continued to bridge the gap between what was popular at the time in the West, and the wisdom of the ancients in the East, through his music. Over time, the two became inseparable. Now you can hear Prophet rapping reality as it is, on the True side of his album, and singing reggae with a message on the Wise side. Often cross- breeding the two together, the lines between the two sides are not always so black and white, but become gray. Anyway, that’s life, isn’t it? So don’t be surprised if you hear Prophet cussing and going on as bad as the baddest, and then switch into the Holiest of Holies. It’s all part of the plan! Just get in where you fit in and the rest will grow on you. Seen?!

Hewitt’s debut album/CD “Introducing Althea Hewitt” was released and promoted locally and internationally. Althea Hewitt, Artist/Songwriter/Actress, fabulous singer and dynamic performer has a three album distribution deal with VP Records International (New York). Althea was one of the actors in the “Vagina Monologues” on March 24th, 2011 directed by Fabian Thomas which got raving reviews. This year it was staged at the Theater Place. “I had a exhilarating experience on stage” Althea replied after performing at the JAVAA tribute to ‘the King’, Bob Marley,’ the Prince’, Dennis Brown and ‘the Cool Ruler’, Gregory Issacs on Febuary 25th, 2011. “It felt good”. She performed at The Pegasus hotel ballroom for their annual New Year’s Eve Ball where she performed in fine style alongside Clancy Eccles jnr. Althea Hewitt performed with the Mack4band at Saturday's Global Battle of the Bands, held at Redbones the Blues Café (New Kingston), in December 2010, and delivered a good performance. She performed on Rebel Salute 2009 where she executed an excellent classy performance.

"IRIE LOVE" ~  (Her birth-given name) (born on July 7, 1985 in Kailua, Honolulu County, Hawaii) is a Hawaiian Ragga Pop singer and songwriter. She first gained notice as one of the finalists on the "Brown Bags to Stardom" competition in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1999. She was signed by John Iervolino (one of the judges in the competition) onto his record label, Quiet Storm Records. She was featured as the only new artist on his world music compilation entitled Roots Music Volume 2: Private Beach Party for which they used her likeness to promote the album.

In 2000 she moved to Los Angeles, California to study Music and Business at Azusa Pacific University. In 2002 she booked a tour as a back-up singer for the artist Pink. She continued as a back-up singer for the next three years singing for such artists as Dave Hollister and Chaka Khan. In 2006 she moved to Kingston, Jamaica to pursue a solo career in reggae music. She became one of the twelve finalists in the Irie FM Red Stripe Big Break Competition[3][4] touring around the country performing to thousands while also being featured widely in the local radio and media.

Love was introduced to the reggae group Morgan Heritage at the East Fest in St. Thomas, Jamaica in December 2006. In April 2007, Morgan Heritage signed Irie Love to their production company Gedion Music. She immediately began touring the world as their opening act alongside their younger brother Laza. She also sang backup for Morgan Heritage touring the United States, the Caribbean, central and South America, Africa, Europe and the UK. In October 2008, Love released her first EP entitled Ehiku; on October 18, 2008 and threw a launch party for the EP in Waikiki, Hawaii. In January 2009, she released her 1st international album in Japan entitled "The Life of Love". Irie Love has also been featured on several compilation albums such as The Biggest Reggae One-Drop Anthems 2008 and Coconut Island Vol.1 and Unseen Famili Compilation Vol.1, all of which are available on iTunes.

Love is currently living between Hawaii, Los Angeles and London performing and recording with her mentor Salaam Remi, Lee Francis, Fiji and several other producers for her Hawaiian Reggae album for 2012. Her singles ʻIt Is Wut It Isʻ featuring Fiji and ʻMy Loveʻ, from her upcoming 2012 album, have both charted at #1 in the Hawaiian Reggae Charts. Her single ʻIt Is Wut It Isʻ featuring Fiji is also currently featured on Hawaiian Airlines inflight entertainment. The musical career of Glenroy Washington, singer, songwriter and drummer, personifies the cliché; ”The race is not for the swift, but for those who can endure.” The triumph of Glen Washington’s endurance has been 25 years in the making. Like most successful artists, Washington evolved from humble beginnings. Born in the parish of Clarendon, Jamaica he is currently one of the most in demand artist in reggae music; this has come after many years of recording and waiting in the wings. In 1997, he released his debut album ‘Brother To Brother’ and, to date, has released 10 albums. Fans and critics alike say there is not one bad song in his catalog.
Washington began his musical career in the early seventies as the lead singer for the group “Names And Faces.” He later became the lead singer in a band called “35 Incorporated” and learned to play the drums under the guidance of, then drummer, Joseph Hill. When Hill left the band, Washington filled the slot, and became a singing drummer.
There are positive lessons of encouragement and motivation to learn from Washington’s experiences. His musical career is reminiscent of Boris Gardener, singer, bass player and bandleader who after 25 years in the music industry recorded the golden “I Wanna Wake Up With You.” In the same vein, it was thirty years after recording the classic “Black Magic Woman” that Santana went on to sweep the 2000 Grammy awards for the gigantic hit “Maria Maria”.
Similarly, Washington made his first hit record “Rockers Not Crackers” in 1978 for the Joe Gibbs Record label; but he did not grace the charts again until the release of the hit “Kindness For Weakness” in 1998.
Most music industry insiders would say that after 20 years in the business, it’s unlikely that an artist would release his biggest hit, but it has been proven again and again how speculative this business is.
Over the years, Washington has recorded sporadically as a solo singer and extensively as a studio drummer and, has laid tracks for various artists. Simultaneously, Washington was a full-time drummer (sometimes singer) in several different bands, such as: The Avengers, The Titans, and Happiness Unlimited. With Happiness Unlimited he migrated to the USA to work with Stevie Wonder. The other Bands he played with are Calabash and Bands that backed Artists such as Leroy Sibbles, Shinehead, Junior Reid, Gregory Isaacs, Sister Carol and the Meditations.
After a short hiatus from performing; in 1997, Washington once again pursued his solo singing career by doing some recording sessions for Studio One’s, famed Producer - Clement Dodd. It was dejavu all over again with the release of Washington’s awesome debut album “Brother to Brother”. It seems the Studio One sound was launching another Artist career. However, it was a year later while recording for Producers Lloyd Campbell & Jason Sterling, that Washington hit with the classic album “Next To You.” It was marketed by VP Records and featured the hit song “Kindness for Weakness”, all tracks on this album are considered single material.
From the resurgence of Glen Washington’s singing career, his smooth, raspy, bass voice has often been likened to that of Beres Hammond. Washington says, “Beres is one of my favorite entertainers, so I regard it as a compliment to be compared with him.” With the release of over forty singles and eleven albums in four years, Washington has established himself as not only a singer but, also as a gifted songwriter who penned his own songs.

"Daniel Bambaata Marley" aka DB ~ life has always been centered in music; from the time he was a toddler, he was accustomed to living out most of his days on a tour bus, continuously spanning the globe with his family, first appearing in front of a live audience at the age of five with Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers. The inspiration of Daniel's musical upbringing harnessed his creative energy, and affirmed his natural passion for the art of making music and performing on stage.

During his formative years, Daniel expounded on his own musical journey, and found that he first resonated with percussion instrumentation, his passion being the drums. As the young Marley ventured into the studio, the aspiring musician began producing his own music, developing his own writing and singing style and 
taking to the stage under the name Daniel Bambaata aka DB.

Daniel and his cousin Jo Mersa Marley combined their varied musical perspectives on a single entitled "My Girl". This along with his first solo effort “Live It Inna Fear", a Damian Marley produced track released under the Marley owned Ghetto Youths International label, introduces Daniel Bambaata's fresh approach to his organically grown sound. In 2011, he contributed his musical stylings to his father Ziggy Marley's, "Wild and Free" album, on a song titled "Changes".

Singer, songwriter, producer and musician, Daniel Bambaata has forged his own identity and proven himself on his own as the complete artist, expounding on themes from love to personal freedom. Inherently influenced by his famous Marley lineage, Daniel Bambaata's many musical styles range across all genres. 
Daniel notes, "through making good music, with a good message and good vibes, without any expectations or set blue prints, I choose to dedicate this life to it's creation."
