Royal is a fresh new face on the Hip-Hop/R&B scene. Born Landon Jean-Rene' Bligen in New York, NY on November 2, 1990. Royal has faced many struggles to include the death of his younger brother at an early age. In spite of those troubles, or maybe because of them, Royal has found a deep love for music. It wasn't until his family moved to Atlanta, GA at sixteen that he wanted to pursue a music career.

Before Royal began rapping or singing he wrote poetry as a way to express his inner most feelings. He moved to Hilton Head Island, SC where his musical talents would blossom listening to artists such as Tupac, Biggie, T.I, and other artists; Royal began molding himself into the artist he wanted to be. Using his life experiences and eye witness accounts of life and politics, and giving it a northern/southern, Hip-Hop/R&B feel, Royal has established his own unique sound.
 
In 2014 Royal started working on his first project. Using his own life as the main topic Royal turned his story into an introduction into who he really was at the time. On September 23, 2015 Royal released his first mixtape "The Introduction." Blending Hip-Hop/ R&B to express his true feelings and giving his fans a real look into the unique world of Royal.

In 2016 Royal started the Souljas 4 Life (S4L) movement. He plans to build S4L into one of the greatest movements in music history. In five years Royal plans to kick off S4L Entertainment to help other upcoming artist.

Currently, Royal is preparing to release his new single “You Don’t Know My Struggle,” a single produced by King Lee Boy, with lyrics written by Royal. The New single will be available by the June 1, 2018.
