English: The Tropical Twista Records presents its second compilation, gathering artists for a musical journey through cultural and sonorous experimentations. In this record we present 15 tracks of big artists from Brazil, Argentina, China, United States and Germany, harmonically permeating and creating a context of latin, african, brazilian and oriental themes, sharing a scenario where music and ethnical plurality influentiate our relation with the environment. 

Each work offers a certain impression of the new electronic art, either travelling through already consecrated aesthetics or pursuing new possible paths. 

The meeting point is the conquer of a new space where rhythms and cultural expressions go further beyond the regional sphere. 

Our common region is the music of the nature, the hidden chants of the Earth and the sound that echoes with the silence. 

The peace and the synergy give way to the new electronic rituals. The cultural expression open space to a dialogue with the plurality.

Os Noctàmbulos – Stranger

On June 17th Stolen Body Records will be releasing Os Noctambulos’ 2nd album, ‘Stanger’. Recorded on ½ inch tape reel to reel in 3 sessions between winter 2014 and spring 2015 at Corsica Gardem, Massy Palla.
Moving on from their first album ‘Corsica Garden’ which features songs in a mainly minor key, Stranger’s songs are mostly in a major key.  Stranger is an album about isolation, claustrophobia, immigration and the strange times we live in. Nick, lead singer and songwriter, is originally from Sheffield and moved to Paris to pursue his musical career. Trying to find himself in a big city where everything and everyone don’t always agree. 
Os Noctambulos sound mixes garage, psych and country with a glimmer of hope but always on the edge of despair. Nick’s voice hints at something unnerving, something not quite right yet somehow in control. The country influence is clear throughout but it’s all set inside a 60’s style garage rhythm with an overlay of psych. 
Stolen Body previously released Os Noctambulos as part of a split with Plantains (now called Heaters) back in 2014. The split has since sold out. We also featured them on our compilation Vegetarian Meat Vol 1. 
The album is being released on vinyl, CD, cassette and digitally. The artwork has been put together by artist Lucas Donaud (musician with Strange Hands and has made artwork for Avenue Z, Paris Psych Fest, Tame Impala, The Growlers). The cover has been made to represent an abstract take on a stranger walking into a city and the claustrophobic feeling of it all.
Lucas had this to say;
“It’s a distorted close up of a guy standing in a suit so there is a psychedelic touch but staying away from "standard" optical art. I think this fits well with the idea of a stranger. The fact it's not showing a face makes the character quite mysterious and I like the fact that one may not notice what the cover represents at first glance – like when you're alone in a room and only realise after a little while that there is a person in there with you. It makes it more enigmatic and also related to the stranger theme. I’ve been listening to the songs and looking at the lyrics a lot while working on the cover. The lyrics are quite dark sometimes but the instrumentals are smooth and chill which it’s a great balance and I thought that a simple black and white visual would fit really well the whole album idea.”
