Command Strange is back at the controls for his first solo V Recordings release since his Rockin EP at the tail end of 2019. Since, Alexey spent twelve months touring Europe, USA and a string of festivals (pre-COVID), and 2020 saw him release two collaborative releases with Danny Wheeler on Liquid V. His 2020 release schedule also featured an EP on Fokuz, a single with L-Side, as well as two killer remixes.

We're really excited to have him back with us for the Mystery EP, a four track body of work featuring T.R.A.C., Christina Tamayo and MC Fava. Recently Alexey has been spreading his wings in terms of experimentation, delving more into the harder, more dance-floor orientated styles, but for this EP he shifts the focus back to his more soulful, funky style.

 My friend in Bristol managed to escape Syria last year (part of his journey involved swimming across the English Channel in the middle of the night) so the situation over there is something I've followed closely.  

Doctors Without Borders support eight hospitals in the city of Aleppo. They also run six medical facilities across northern Syria and support more than 150 health centres and hospitals across the country, many of them in besieged areas.

1 year ago, we lost a genius of underground music, Marcus Intalex a great talent and pioneer in the Jungle / Drum & Bass and Techno scene. Marcus is one of the main reasons i make music. Before leaving, I was doing this song called "The Gentleman" in his honor, after 1 year he left us - I decided to release the mp3 for Free Download.
