Have always loved the Chemical Brothers... Some tracks on the new album (Born In the Echoes) have a great vibe and feel but I am not sure that the album goes somewhere new... What about the experimentation and envelope pushing... Anyway, I made this edit because I love the vibe of the track but wanted to give it that random edge that the chemical brothers can also do so well.. We have swum out of the mire to present you with a ‘farewell to summer’ tune. It is a melancholic mash-up of sorts, using elements from a few sources, with the track ‘This Space’, by the excellent Woolfy vs. Projections as the starting point. As usual, we have gone on a complete journey with this, and think we have come up with a perfect late summer cinematic – we hope you agree!

Thank you to @wearelostkings for the chance to remix this beautiful, nostalgic track. It really inspired me to create something that channeled the vibes that originally got me into electronic music. The melodic house anthems of like 2014-15 are what really ignited my passion, so I wanted to share that with the world. Hope you guys like it.

Lost Kings - When We Were Young (HtPkt Remix)

SIN COS TAN is the new project of ace producer Jori Hulkkonen and VILLA NAH’s Juho Paalosmaa. Having worked together previously on VILLA NAH’s superb debut album ‘Origin’ and on the track ‘Re: Last Year’ from Hulkkonen’s own ‘Man From Earth’ solo record, a further artistic union was almost inevitable. They made their live debut at Helsinki’s Flow Festival this summer 2012.

The superbly pulsating ‘Trust’ showcases the pair’s manifesto to be “a synthesized duo of great promise, broken dreams, and long nights”. Add in sweeping drifts, sharp widescreen cimbalom, danceable but subtle beats and emotive vocals tinged with sadness from Paalosmaa, what more could you want? ‘Trust’ could possibly be the song of 2012…

So while VILLA NAH take a sabbatical and Hulkkonen wears yet another hat (other monikers have included PROCESSORY, ZYNTHERIUS, ACID SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, KEBACID, DRUMMAN, STOP MODERNISTS and THE TANIA & JORI CONTINENTS!), SIN COS TAN are now finishing an album for forthcoming release.
