This is Shahfeel’s and Royt’s first release from their five song joint EP titled “Impulse” which is about the journey of involuntarily falling for someone and riding the highs and lows of that experience as it unfolds.

We wrote Show Me to capture the thoughts a person can deal with as they move on from a past relationship and start to get comfortable taking chances and making new mistakes. We were inspired by the feeling of realization that you’ve got to move on and push yourself out of the comfort of keeping your emotional guard up.

We wrote “Fall For You” to capture giving in to the feeling of falling head over heels for someone you just met. It’s irrational and compelling, but they make you feel something unexpected. It all happens fast and you don’t know if that feeling is mutual, but the intensity is heart-pounding. This is the second release from Royt’s and Shahfeel’s “Impulse” EP, which relives the journey of falling for someone along their separate travels and riding the highs and lows of that experience as it unfolds.

I finished up this remix to one of my favorite Lane 8 songs earlier this summer for a remix competition on his label - This Never Happened. Working on this piece of music was a needed distraction right in the middle of my quarantine blues, as I felt stuck working on my own stuff and dealing with the uncertainty in the world around us all.  It didn't win the competition, but I wanted to share for my friends and fans. All credit to the man himself - Lane 8 - for giving us younger producers a shot.

Thanks to The Naked and Famous and SKIO Music for offering up a remix competition to the indie electronic band's latest song "Everybody Knows", off of their 2020 album "Recover". I flipped the song into a pumping indie dance groove wrapped around an organic, jazzy house beat meant make you bounce. Hope you love it - more from me soon.
