this set is just like me. it’s far from perfect. it’s colorful, chaotic, wild. sometimes it’s too loud, sometimes too silent. sometimes you think: huh? then maybe again: oh, how lovable.
yes i know, i maybe waited a bit too long to upload it. the hype around the fusion sets is slowly dying down. like always, i compared myself (and my set) to all the others and i thought it's not even good enough to upload. nor special enough.

what actually was special and means much more to me than this recording was the set itself. the two hours full of love and ecstasy in the blazing sunday-afternoon sun on what is (for me) the most beautiful stage of the festival. extravaganza :)) i'm forever thankful for this experience.

thank you to all my amazing friends who supported me before, during, and after my set. really, i almost cried when i saw so many friends and old acquaintances somewhere in the middle of my always smiling crowd 🧡

Fusion + 20 years Bachstelzen <3

Michi and I were set and ready to take over from Mimi Love @spreedelay, but during our third track, our mixer unexpectedly dropped out. It was a bumpy start, but once we switched over to the backup mixer, everything took off and what a ride it turned into! We decided to keep the recording as it was: raw, real, and true to the live experience. Sometimes these little curveballs are just part of the journey.

The photo perfectly captures how we prep our sets—and also explains why our backs and shoulders are always in recovery mode! 😂 (Thank you, Em, for the snap!)

A heartfelt thank you to the entire @bachstelzen crew and Fusion for having us, to the producers behind the tracks, the sound techs, our amazing friends who held space for us, and every dancer and twerker who shared the moment on the floor.

@madmotormiquel, thank you for your constant support, and for being the best samba dancer and twerker a Brazilian could dream of!

P.S. This year marked Fusion’s 26th anniversary and Bachstelzen’s 20th. These collectives have shaped and inspired generations of ravers, myself included. I truly wouldn’t be who I am today without them. Happy birthday, and here’s to many more years of magic!

Meet Roz, a dynamic DJ whose music roots run deep in the house and RnB scene of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Roz's passion for music began at a young age when she hosted gigs for legends like Tomy Novy and Kascade when she was only 16 years old. 

After moving to Cape Town a decade ago, Roz discovered her true calling behind the decks, where she thrives in bringing the crowd to life with her music.

Over the years, Roz has made musical connections around the world, paving the way for her. She has performed at some of the most sought-after venues and festivals in South Africa, including Ultra Music Festival, Corona Sunsets, Defected, Mixmag, Kunye , Rocking The Daisies, We House Sundays, and more.
