Percussive jems and beautiful landscapes all around are to be expected from this selection. An ever-growing journey which will take us into the depths of Dycide's mind and soul.
Unique sound design & fine blends are the signature of his work and this set is not an exception to that tacit rule.

Lost In Ether | Origin Series | Tha Noota

BIO:
Tha Noota started her dj path during the pandemic in 2020. Her purpose was just to listen to her favourite music on a different level and to be able to create her own mixes. After 2 months of learning she got a chance to play in a local club in Olsztyn, where she is based. Since then she plays regularly in her hometown as well as in other polish cities, practicing her skills and widening selection. She's especially bonded with dub techno but she explores deep/hypnotic techno, ambient and house music too. Besides djing she's also actively involved in creating local electronic music scene, organising parties known as Feed Your Soul Events (https://www.facebook.com/feedyoursoulevents). Her aim is to bring less popular music genres, like ambient or experimental, to the small city of Olsztyn.
In the mix for Lost in Ether she tried to combine deep techno tunes in a story that is intended to slowly warm up the listener and encourage him to move.

Madeleine's love for music is unmeasurable. She has always been surrounded by it as she was influenced by classical music at a young age. Eventually, she discovered electronic music for the first time when she was visiting Slovakia's most open-minded festival at the age of 11 years old.

Her path to becoming an artist already started very early, but it really took shape when she came into contact with former club Herna and the local underground scene in Brno, Czech Republic, which persuaded her to start DJ'ing. Besides DJ'ing Madeleine also caught an interest in producing, so she started her master's of sound design in Brno.

Over time, she became most intrigued by the mind-bending, repetitive sounds of techno. That's why Madeleine likes to give tracks the space they need to evolve and create a hypnotic and symbiotic sphere on the dance floor.

"Cobalt Made Dreams Of Avarice" is the first release for 2024. The EP is digital only and features 2 original tracks from 7XINS and a remix from the hard hitting duo “Mist Gasp”.

This 2-track EP demonstrates a surrealist hypnotic side of 7XINS mind, offering listeners into a more undulating, sub heavy dreamscape. Pulsating baselines intertwine with open atmospheres, creating a sonic landscape that is both ethereal and immersive. These tracks are characterised by minimal synth work in the mid-range with clear emphasis on low end and minimal percussion, a clear departure from his conventional sound creating a perfect balance between dance floor energy and introspective immersion, perfect those deeper moments.

Track 3 is a remix of "7XINS - Western Prospects" provided by heavy hitting duo Mist Gasp. Mist Gasp have worked hard over the years which has been paying off well with recent releases on Bas Mooy’s mighty MORD records, SOMA and various other platforms. Consistency has been key for these guys everything they touch seems to scream peak time driving techno with heavy bottom...

Hailing from Rome and now based in Berlin, Endrew first made waves as a DJ at the "Resistance Is Techno" events. His sonic palette, encompassing techno to IDM, and intricate, sound design was vividly captured in his debut EP "Martiri del Futuro" on Shed's Upfront Copy. Over the years, he has been spotlighted on labels like Chlär's Bipolar Disorder and Rome's Suburban Avenue. His compositions, known for their intricate narratives and immersive sound design, perfectly illustrate his dedication and evolution in the electronic realm.

To any musician this is no doubt a complicated moment, since the choice of medium had already been taken in the first place: music. However, it seems that the written word needs to accompany the music, if not just to make sure the composer knows how to defend himself. Let me be frank, in the past this has been a rather ungrateful job, due to the fact that words either seem to appear like a method of justification or explanation of something that in my modest opinion doesn‘t need either one of the two. In the same sense in which „Liedgut“ wasn‘t about romaticism and „Winterreise“ had nothing to do with Schubert, „HD“ isn‘t about anything I‘d wish to express in a lengthy text or would like to see you being able to pinpoint or sell with a flashy headline.
