I made this song in reference to love, but it can pertain to any impressionable experience in life. It was originally going to be titled (in Greek) “Would You Like To Dance?” Personally, I link asking someone to dance with the underlying request of their approval to share an intimate connection with them- even if it’s intended lightheartedly. Greek is one of the oldest known written languages, and in a way, seemed a viable enough gesture for conveying a deeper meaning. 

In our lives, we seek connections with people for different reasons. It seems to me that some of the deepest connections we have are, at one time or another, tried with various hardships. During these moments, when we find ourselves in grief, reflection upon delightful experiences shared with them can torture us with the realization that something like that may never happen again. We become fixed and lost in it, and yet, we pick at those memories time and time again because we want so badly for them to be real once more. 

When we step away from it all, it becomes evident that everything, both the pleasant moments and the grief tied to their departure from our lives, passes through- it’s one of those bittersweet things.passes through- it’s one of those bittersweet things.
