She took us for an electrifying journey between tracks that she’s not used to play in the clubs alongside her signature blend of pulsating electro dancehall and boundary-breaking broken & bassy beats around 100 bpm. A true force of nature and Bristol legend, we’ve fondly witnessed him display the kind of range we love here at Timedance, covering everything from bouncy House to mind-warping peak time Techno via kaleidoscopic declinations of the  future facing Bristol bass sound. 

This long overdue debut on the label displays three jaw dropping numbers. Harvested for maximum stroboscopic efficiency, this EP is packed with Hodge’s anthemic signature hooks, bass weight for days and a truly singular approach to a forward rave sound. 

Summoning sirens from space, laser guided Grime-Tech and intoxicating explorations into peak time tempos, « Voice Crash » stands as the perfect interpolation of a producer we have revered for years and Timedance’s very own mission statement.

Galtier’s is an artist from who hones in on amalgamation as the focal point of his output; his works occupy an expansive somatic energy that has evolved significantly over his decade-long presence in the global electronic scene.
Sporadic unexpectedness in rhythmic pace and structure coupled with a coagulated sense of mood is the formula for Galtier’s production ons and DJ sets; a willingness to explore change and progression in sound while maintaining a sense of driven cohesion has been a driving force throughout his foray into sound design.
Galtier has offered up mixes on reputable platforms that include Fact Mag, XLR8R, Inverted Audio, Rinse France and has contributed endlessly to the enormity of independent music publications ons that are making humble moves. Throughout, minimal restrictions on BPM and a desire to keep things ever-changing result in massive shibs in tempo throughout even a brief Galtier set. His cohesive understanding of music accompanied by his passion for creating his own unique and stylistic approach has won him admiration and respect on an international onal scale.
He has worked with such labels as Infinite Machine, NAAFI, [re]sources, TRRUENO, 10 Label and in 2015, Galtier introduced his own label Nostro Hood System to the world; nestled in the thematic concept as a label focused on the xenological discovery of an alternate galaxy to our own that sets out to showcase the musical artefacts that originate from it. The output has hosted releases from such production on greats as Amor Satyr & Siu Mata, Atrice, Amazondotcom, Siete Catorce, Aircode, Avernian and Galtier himself.

The first Unsound Podcast recorded live at the 2023 Kraków festival is from Rama, a Berlin-based Egyptian DJ who’s notorious for her technical and ornate patchworks of mutant club music and rap. She also curates the Irsh imprint and event series alongside ZULI, using it to shine a spotlight on artists from the Levant.
Rama’s set closed out one of Unsound’s club nights with drama, inventiveness and adventure, tracking through UK bass music styles, Brazilian funk, dubstep and drill, and gesturing towards the future.

For this month's episode, I'm thrilled and honoured to host a friend and one of my biggest influences. Hassan Abou Alam is one of Egypt’s latest musical exports, steadily publishing his work since 2008 on diverse labels such as Casa Voyager and Naive. More recently, he featured on Violet’s Naivety label; his EP "T44"climbed BandCamp’s best selling list just a few days after the release. The past six years, Hassan has been playing around with his gear, forging multiple live performances. A hard to pin down sound that utilizes analog and digital instruments, a form of organized chaos that he portrays with extreme finesse—his Boiler Room set last year is testament to his genre bending capabilities. Through Red Bull’s RBMA Abou Alam was given a chance to mingle musically with the ancient people of Luxor. The result? A phenomenal live performance in Cairo two years ago fusing traditional folklore with electronica, successfully pinning him as one of Egypt’s most versatile musicians. His sound as a DJ is constantly evolving, springing to life through the crevices of house, breaks, noise, bass, grime, techno and more.
