Tarsila is a rock band from Porto Alegre (Brazil) formed by Lucidio Gontan (vocals), Marcelo Reichelt (guitar), Tiago Schmidt (bass) and Luca Gontan (drums). As a rule of thumb, we discard the ideas that need to polished or rethought, in order to preserve the first instinct manifestation that comes along in the composing process. Simple as that. Life's little moments turned into music: notes, memories, even a simple SMS.

V De Vinagre - Hangovers

Sky Fetish is a band from Bagé, a small town from the South Brazil. The band  is formed  by the brothers Diego Maraschin (guitar and vocals), Julio Maraschin (drums), Igor Montanari (bass) and Giuliano Machado (guitar). The band already released their first ep, "Caged", and on january 22, their first full album "You Can Be Me When I'm Gone". The band influences are the alternative rock from the 90's, grunge and stoner rock, like Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam and Queens of the Stone Age.

Xaxados e Perdidos presents a musical journey through Brazil: joining the urban song tradition (Mpb) along with elements of folk music from different regions of the country, brings music from renowned musicians such as Egberto Gismonti side by side with songs from anonymous composers. After doing a summer program at Berklee College of Music, in Boston, they decided to perform and show their work in Porto Alegre. O Governo do RS, através do programa RS Criativo, está promovendo uma ação de divulgação dos artistas gaúchos no Festival South by Southwest, no Texas, um dos maiores festivais de música do mundo.

A Secretaria de Estado da Cultura estará presente no Festival SouthBySouthwest, um dos maiores eventos do mundo no setor da música, entre os dias 7 e 16 de março de 2014 em Austin, Texas. A missão promoverá empresas do setor da música a fim de fortalecer a internacionalização dos setores criativos, promover a música produzida no sul do Brasil, além de abrir conexões para o mercado internacional.

Nossa intenção é apresentar um recorte atual da produção musical do RS, com foco em música urbana, como os curadores de feiras do mundo todo definem – agregando estilos como pop, rock, reggae, dub, eletrônica, entre outros.
 
A ação faz parte do programa RS Criativo, um programa transversal desenvolvido por diversas secretarias, agências e assessorias do Governo do Rio Grande do Sul. Várias ações estão estruturadas em parceria com órgãos que já trabalham com projetos para a área como APEX, BNDES e SEBRAE/RS, e contam com o apoio técnico e institucional do British Council. O objetivo principal do programa é estimular o setor criativo e implementar políticas públicas para um novo desenvolvimento fundado na diversidade cultural do estado.
