Ric Supreme, aka R. Seezy, has been into music since he was a child. He began writing songs playing drums and keys at the age of 8. In high school he was the main drummer for the school band and also was producer and rapper in a group called DVS. This also included at different times, Kenneth Sandoval, Duane Evans, Richard Reid and Tony Foster. This band lasted from 1987-1992. In 1992 R. Seezy, then known as T.Ricky, became the producer and manager for Uptown Nation. This group included his stepson Charles Cuthbert and his nephew Prince Newkirk, then known as Chuck Smoove and Prince Hasan, respectively. Through the years they were together they garnered a local notoriety and did many shows in the NYC area, most notably the APOLLO THEATRE in 1994. This unit lasted until 1998, as the group grew apart and in 2000, R. Seezy moved upstate and began a musical partnership with Oscar Davis. Together they was known as BRAND NEW OLD SCHOOL. In 2011 the two went on tour and drove from NY to CALIFORNIA in a 1959 Impala performing in different venues along the way. In 2012 R. Seezy became the singer/drummer/producer for a local band called The X'plozionz.  Concurrently with this, he was also producing different songs using deceased artists, this work can be found under the name RICSUPREME THE REANIMATOR.  And in 2014, R. Seezy partnered up with Shawn Melody and they became THE CORTLAND CONNECTION. Together, the two recorded one album together, called TAKING IT BACK. In 2016 R. Seezy decided it was time to make his own album due to the dissolution of the Cortland Connecton. And now in 2018, after over 30 years in the making, R. Seezy steps out from the background and takes center spotlight with his album, LONG TIME COMING.
