Hector Couto’s Roush imprint opens 2017 with it’s first of three samplers set to drop throughout the year as the label heads to BPM Festival, boasting the likes of Javi Bora, Los Pastores and Arado.
With Couto at the helm, Roush has rapidly gone on to establish itself as one of the key imprints within the world of house over the past three years. With artists such as Steve Rachmad, Darius Syrossian, & DJ W!ld touching down since the labels debut in late 2013, attention now turns to Playa del Carmen, with the Roush team assembling a collective of worldwide talent to curate their ‘On & On BPM Sampler’.
First up, Spaniard Vozmediano welcomes the sunshine from the off with a medley of playful vocals and warming riffs in ‘Back2Soul’, before Arado’s driving ‘Broken Dog’ comes forth, armed with a menacing groove and crisp hats. Liverpool based producer James Organ then introduces the thunderous ‘Beat The Slump’, before Oblack founders Los Pastores provide a delicate break in proceedings, laying down a trademark combination of organic percussion patterns and elegant pads throughout ‘Make Ends Meet’.
Next, Black Girl / White Girl raise the tempo once again with the rolling ‘Closure’, whilst Jacabo Padilla and Javi Bora & IAAM strip things back and gets percussive through ‘On A Roll’ and ‘Time To Tool’, with both cuts clearly aimed towards the sands and sees of the Mexican coast. Closing out the package, Italy’s Atove pairs up with Londoner Apollo84 to drop the rumbling ‘Back All Night’, Le Vinyl & Omez merge male vocals and coos with bubbling 303 lines in ‘Guasapens’, before UK trio Wax On Mare St. tie everything together in fine style with their excellent groove focused cut ‘Road Bloc’.

Steve Lawler makes his debut on Hector Couto’s thriving Roush imprint to kick off 2017, with both Couto and Spanish talent Cuartero providing two stellar remixes.
2016 has seen Hector Couto’s Roush take a firm hold within the world of house, with releases from industry heavyweights including the likes of DJ W!ld, Steve Rachmad, Santé, Neverdogs, DJ T. and more this year alone. Next up is VIVa boss Steve Lawler, who finally releases ‘People Having Sex’ as his first offering on the label.
“I’m very happy to now release this track. I made it a couple of years ago around the time I made ‘House Record’ that was eventually released on Hot Creations. I was experimenting with my old Roland machines, trying to re-create a sound that I was aware of in the late 80’s. This track ‘People Having Sex’ was never sent out to anyone at the time and just kept it for my DJ sets. Now 2 years on, and under the desire of many people asking what this track is throughout all of this summer, I have decided to release it and where better than Hector Couto’s House label Roush” - Steve Lawler
Lawler’s original opens up the EP in fine style, revealing ever-evolving 303 lines, mischievous vocals, 808 claps and precise percussion patterns that combine to combine unearth a record unquestionably intended for the dancefloor. Next up, Roush boss Hector Couto’s interpretation firmly places its emphasis on percussion, with a driving low-slung groove and rugged drum licks guiding the production into an energy-fuelled workout across five and a half minutes.
Lastly, Cuartero’s remix shapes up the package by utilising the original’s playful vocal over a bubbling lead line whilst a series of glitches and pops ebb and flow amongst shuffling hats in the background, rounding out yet another impressive package from the team at Roush. Steve Lawler ‘People Having Sex’ is out on Roush on January 30th 2017.

Roush returns with a fresh new edition of its OFF Sonar Sampler this June, featuring tracks from the likes of Javi Bora & Piem, Jairo Delli, FreedomB and more. Founded by Hector Couto back in 2013, Roush looks set to enjoy it's biggest year to date, celebrating it's fifth anniversary in style having already welcomed notable names such as Steve Lawler, DJ W!ld, Tuccillo and Phil Weeks to the label. With Sonar just around the corner, the Tenerife based imprint continues it's 'Sampler' series this June, delivering thirteen fresh cuts that are set to make an impact across Barcelona's infamous OFF week. Label favourite Javi Bora opens proceedings alongside Piem to deliver the dynamic 'King Of Vila', before rising talent Jairo Delli delivers 'Body Pi', fusing slick percussion fills and vibrant synth builds. Next up, FreedomB and Space Jump Salute combine on 'All Night Tonight', whilst Gav Whitehouse lays down chunky kicks and spiraling lead lines for his label debut entitled 'They're Coming". Drastic Duo and Taty Munoz both shift the focus towards percussive territories, Manu Gonzalez's 'Mind Games' introduces infectious vocals amongst nostalgic house tones to reveal a production that's set to become a favourite of many in the months ahead, whilst Picca & Mars' and Gorkiz & Killed Kassette's cuts see both pairings opt for skipping hats woven amongst driving low-end grooves. To close, Dutch talent Gerbert Vos unveils the dark and kinetic 'Give It', Luigi Rocca and Anis Hachemi combine to drop the thunderous 'Rawtomation', Tuffdub & Aday Chinea's 'Da Menace' combines booming claps and stuttered vocal samples, before Makanan & Iva Dive punctuate the package with the bright and bumping 'Mondadito'. Italians Raffa FL and Riccardo De Polo combine once again this August to deliver ‘Six Teen’ on
Hector Couto’s Roush Label. A favourite of many, Verona’s Raffaele Calza, aka Raffa FL, has been turning heads for the past five years with his vocal-driven tech house productions. A heavily supported artist within the industry, most notably by Marco Carola who championed his cut ‘This Is How We Do’ weekly during Music On’s 2016 season - resulting in it becoming one of the White Isle’s biggest tracks of the year, the Italian has since racked up releases on the likes of Lee Foss’ Repopulate Mars and AVOTRE to name just a few. Joining him is rising countryman and fellow Verona native Riccardo De Polo, and with a recent debut collaboration on Roush’s 2018 ‘Not Ordinary Sampler’, the duo are back to deliver two fresh productions for the Tenerife imprint. ‘Six Teen’ opens proceedings as the pairing lay down a thick, driving bassline amongst hooky vocals, energy raising snare rolls and crisp, filtered hats, before ‘Honey’ lays the focus on resonant and soulful female vocals throughout, whilst the duo employ bumping low ends, regimented drum licks and an infectious groove line to reveal an up front, peak time dancefloor weapon.

Roush unveils a fresh fifteen-track sampler ahead of ADE 2018, featuring tracks from Javi Bora, Rich Wakley, Atove, Paco Wegmann, Elio Riso and more. Hector Couto's Roush continues its fifth year celebrations into October and marks yet another staple in the electronic music calendar with a fresh multi-artist sampler, this time in preparation for 2018's Amsterdam Dance Event. With the label's annual samplers being a stand-out for many, both fans and artists can be sure to pick up some essential peak time productions ahead of this years event courtesy of fifteen new tracks set to showcase the label's dynamic sound. Venezuelan DJ Lugo opens proceedings with 'Divine Blessing', featuring the native vocals of Josuat Pineda, before a triple collaboration from Paco Wegmann, Javi Bora & TapeOut entitled 'What's This Record?' employs robust drums amongst funk-infused guitar licks. HouseBreakers' 'Words Anyway' and Ismael Casimiro's 'Bitches Wanna' both utilise throwback samples and slick drum breaks to great effect, before rolling into Rich Wakley & Atove's 'Prismatic Beat'. Snarling bass licks and contrasting female vocals fuel Marco Grosso's 'Reflex', before a return to more percussive territories in Diego Lima & Gianni Firmaio's 'We Got Power' and the warping synths of Lucio Spain & Elio Riso's 'Games In Mind'. Riaz Dhanani's 'Pick It Up' and Modest & Engelhart both lay the focus on organic sounds and tones throughout their contributions, whilst Marco C.'s 'Bad Boyz' takes up a breaks-influenced arrangement, switching up proceedings. Next up, Ario's 'Can You Here Me' packs a healthy offering of sub-bass, whilst Chris Main raises the energy through his driving production 'Feelings', something echoed through the use of tough drum arrangements in Federico Ambrosi's 'Flash Fire', before Agus Garcia rounds out the package with his groove-heavy cut entitled 'Dancing'.

From the minds of Hanfry Martinez and Carlos Sanchez, two beloved DJs and Producers from the Canary Islands, comes ‘Aluminosis’, a three track EP that includes a remix from Hector Couto, founder and owner of this label. The first track of this EP, ‘Aluminosis’ is highlighted by minimalistic synths that reach into the darkest side of the human psyche with a spine-chilling groove. The second one, ‘Acidotoolz’, has a tropical vibe, which is precisely what you need from time to time in a dark groovy tech house sesh. Finally, Hector Couto´s spin on this one is mad. His remix of ‘Acidotoolz’ is defined by clever vocals and a bold vibration that dominates the dance floor and with it your mind.

Jose M. & TacoMan are the new faces joining Roush Label with 'Feel Alright'. Medellin based, Colombian duo joined forces and knowledge back in 2010 when they recorded 'Cause and Effect'. This was the first step of a long road together and it was released on their own 'Attary Records'. After this first album great productions came out in renowned labels such as Bla Bla, Nervous or Get Physical. Within the wide range of DJs that are playing Jose M. & TacoMan productions the duo highlights the support that are having their tracks via Richie Hawtin, Matthias Tanzmann and Joris Voorn. Opener, lead cut 'Feel Alright' is a great collab between Jose M. & TacoMan and Raized, another Medellin based minimal-tech producer. They built a peak-time techy track with an acid lead bassline and a diva vocal that offers a great refreshment when it sounds. Next up, 'Shake It' gathers again the duo with Cool Jei, another Colombian talent. They teamed several times to deliver some gems in labels like Deeperfect. Now, repeating the formula seeing in their collabs, they offer some summer terrace vibes with a great combo of synthetic and metallic percussions. Distorted voice repeating the hook of the track adds an interesting arrangement to 'Shake It' which closes brilliantly this EP. 'Feel Alright' will be available on main platforms from August 26th.

Haling from France, SYAP defines himself as a music lover addict on groovy beats, focusing his sound into the Deep and House textures. The newest member of Roush adds our imprint to his great back catalogue, where we can find top labels such as Nervous, Snatch or Green Velvet's infamous Cajual. During the years he has polished his sound palette combining effective beats with strong basslines with the right purpose of making people dance. This formula is felt on title cut 'Highly Addictive' where SYAP combines tech house beats with a rolling sub-bass. An effective percussion effects and vocal chops are added to maintain the peak time vibe. Next up, 'Let's Get Into This' it's an awesome b-side that works as a jackin' tech-house-tool combining snappy snares and housey chords.

Amnesia long-time resident CAAL comes back to Roush with his studio mate Baum. The spaniard combo has been a regular name on tech-house top labels such as elrow, Sola or Repopulate Mars, where they have signed a great bunch of bangers. Some of this tracks have been remixed by reputed producers as Nathan Barato, Eskuche or Eli Brown giving the duo an international exposure. Regarding to his debut EP on Roush, title cut ‘Back & Forth’ opens with an actual and arpeggiated bassline which infuses the track a fast vibe. A female woman repeating an hypnotic phrase is used in order to captivate listener. The voice has a clever sci-fi treatment that gives a robotic shape. ‘Makin’ Moves’ is another fantastic cut with a firm bet on the always popular and effective 303-acid-sound that closes the EP in a raver-style.
