The Mood Series is quickly presenting itself as one of the most landmark collections in dub techno history. And while the search continues to scour the lands for the finest in techno, it's amazing to think we are up to our 71st release in the portfolio. This edition features Schulz Audio who is making his 3rd appearance with us. 'Short of Stable' is a lush and 4 track beauty that will get a limited vinyl dubplate and a digital release. 'Quazar' is a breezy opener that rides a crest of reverberating chords that shimmer over an organic rhythm section. The aquatic sanctuary feel is real! 'Sundaze' brings a sound reminiscent of classic Cologne styled dub techno while pushing the sounds further closer to the island roots of the genre. The way the chords seem to fade out over the beats near the end is a brilliant touch. Super smooth! The title track is another floaty let your cares drift away type of a beauty. This one is so entrancing you nearly forget there is a beat going on. Subliminally soothing and a heady masterpiece of the healing effects dub can have on the mind and body. Schulz Audio completes the EP with some serious summer chords in 'Juxtaposition'. Overall, a magical and tranquil vibe surrounds these tracks with pure production class from Schulz Audio. Not sure if Balearic dub techno is a subgenre yet but this release has us grabbing our beach chairs and a bag of ice set to enjoy these calming and beautiful vibes of this soundtrack.
