These songs were recorded during my isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in my Olivenhain Studio, all by myself of course, except for my family singing the Hallelujah chorus (thanks Oscar, Angel, Rhiannon, Megan and Stephanie). The final track, Sweet Mint Tea, was my first collaboration with Irish artist Johnny Mc Farlane. Johnny somehow elevated my provocative lyrics into an old-timey pub tune vibe that just begs the listener to sing along...yet another pandemic miracle.

This CD contains a collection of tunes familiar to everyone…and others less so, including two originals inspired by my youngest grandchildren who are working hard to find their way in our complicated world. Each new arrangement attempts to reimagine these classic songs while respecting the original intent of the composers. A special thanks to Johnny Mc Farlane for partnering with me, and Ray McKenna for his haunting harp, on Long Black Veil, and to my grandson Oacar Rey Flores for his rich baratone harmony on Louise.
