All instruments/sounds built ground up from field recordings of fire and firewood preparation (except the violin - it's a violin)

The kick and other percussion are built out of the sounds of an axe landing in the chopping block and of splitting kindling

These keys are generated from the waveform of snapping kindling

The background synths and lead are generated from the sounds of preparing tinder and kindling

This bass is built from the waveform of firewood splitting

This entire track* is built from the ground up from the sounds of preparing firewood and burning it in a wood stove at a fire lookout cabin in the foothills of the Rockies. All percussion, synths and atmosphere are generated from these recordings - sampled, sliced, looped and re-pitched. Finally got around to uploading this one after at least a couple years.
