As the founder of @electric_shapes label, he has fostered a vibrant community of artists and music enthusiasts. Apart from his label, Aleksandr L. has also made a mark as a resident on Radio Vilnius. Hosting the monthly show "Drops & Volts," he consistently delivers a carefully curated mix of tracks that showcase his unwavering dedication to music exploration. Next up in the series is a mix from Brussels-based DJ and label-head Rick Shiver, someone who’s been around bringing some of the finest sounds to our ears for many years through his label Nose Job and his always-reliable mixes, with a residency on LYL Radio with his show Niemandsland, and regular appearances on BXL’s excellent Kiosk Radio.

His mix takes us on a journey of his usual dubwise downtempo, scattered rhythms and heavyweight, heady slow-club moods, always with a Shiver touch, dubby and fun. Plug-in for a little over an hour of some of the nicest gear you’ll hear all day.

We have been witnessing genocide in Palestine for more than a year, and since October 1st, 2024, Israel has invaded Lebanon, defying any moral logic. Our community in Prague has been organizing and spreading awareness in a highly Zionist Czech society for many months. Transmission for Lebanon is a collective effort to take a stance and support the cause of Lebanese sovereignty and anti-colonial struggle.

All proceeds from this album will be donated to the Lebanese Red Cross, Beirut Synth Center (who are in direct contact with local shelters in Lebanon and providing resources to the displaced), and Secours Populaire.

Our effort is to support the resistance and stand against the suffering of the Lebanese people. We believe in anti-colonialism and the freedom of the Global South from Western imperialism. 🇱🇧

Maria aka Whiplash, is a German born, Greek DJ and resident of OSM Tapes collective in Thessaloniki for the past few years.  Heavily influenced by the early 80s EBM and Acid House movement, Whiplash’s sets are known for their genre bending. Whether it’s fusing Industrial leaning textures with Detroit flavoured tracks, or punchy EBM with more straightforward Techno, melancholic 90’s Trip-hop synths with newer Dark Wave and Post Punk elements.
