This 7" hasn't moved from my playing out bag for years.  Mr Move's is awesome too

@ogdah: yeah, gotta give Bootsy the credit for that! Glad you enjoyed it - now I've had a few years to recover, I might even tackle a similarly sample heavy project again sometime :)

Put together in 2008 for the Craig Charles Funk &amp; Soul Show on BBC 6 Music. Listeners voted on their favourite musicians to make up the Fantasy Funk Band, then I was tasked with making something that sounded like they were all playing at the same time :)

So, the band comprises:
Female Vocal : Nina Simone
Male Vocal : James Brown
Drums : Clyde Stubblefield
Bass : Bootsy Collins
Keyboards : Stevie Wonder
Hammond : James Taylor
Horns : The J.B's
Male Backing Vocals : The Temptations
Female Backing Vocals : The Supremes

Alot of work, and one of the most sample intensive tracks I've ever made, but alot of fun too!
