Introducing Slamboree to the Rat Records family! A live band with a smörgåsbord of circus performers, daredevils and entertainers. Taking each show as it comes, assembling a different crew from their collective for each show and every gig is very different to the last.

Musically they fuse bass-driven beats with live orchestra, guitars, percussion, loops, visuals, brass, pyrotechnics and circus.

The genres bounce around breakbeat, dubstep, drum & bass, dub, techno and electro fused with balkan, folk, and 'gypsy' flavours... All original and all live. This all translates in the studio to an incredibly fun, quirky first release on Rat Records, entitled "Cheeky Peppers".

Rat's head honcho, Deekline, applies his midas touch and turns it into gold in a way that only he can! Given unique elements to work with, he manages to integrate them into something a little left of centre for him, yet somehow still distinctly Deekline.

After featuring on our last release and representing in many of our showcases we felt it time for him to come forward with his own solo project !

Born On Road have been pushing the fresh 140 Jungle sound since the outset, and the original mix of Solid Ground is no different. Production comes from a demonstrative trio of new school Jungle music giants; Aries, Gold & Jacky Murda. The release patently takes influence from many corners of sound system culture and this resonates across the various remixes by Kreed, Stivs & Kelvin 373, Dub Smugglers and Tuff & Powa, respectively.

From Athens to Birmingham via New York this EP showcases some of the worlds best jungle producers. Fleck, Gold Dubs, King Yoof, Lion Dub, DJ Cautious and K Jah have not disappointed in crafting some of finest jungle in recent years.

This is the official jungle remix package for the "Kingston Connection" reggae EP which came out on Kingston Express Records in June 2017. The remixes EP features vocals from Macka B, Horace Andy, Johnny Clarke, Cheshire Cat, Solo Banton, Earl 16, Horseman, Robert Dallas and Ital Horns.

Taken from Origin One's recent "Deeply Rooted" album, "Nice & Easy" is a bouncing and bubbling hip hop infused reggae banger, perfectly crafted for summer and soundsystems in fields. Bristol's rising star Gardna supplies the chat, whilst Congo Natty cohort Nanci Correia drops the silky smooth chorus atop the shuffling skanking riddim, complementing each other perfectly.

On remix duties comes Mr Benn who flips the beat for a stripped back throwback dancehall affair, giving nods to a 90s classic, whilst Numa Crew's T-Kay turns up the energy for a massive drum and bass monster for the ravers. Nice and Easy!
