New year, new me. New artwork, but always the same heart…
After some rest and relaxation, it’s time to turn the page to chapter 2 in the book of love. This tale begins with Tortuga, a tall and gracious man who, just like every one of us, yearns for the weekend. Friday at 4.59pm to be exact, the height of anticipation falls upon this minute. But before I go any further, let me bring you back to the start - 11.59pm, new year’s eve 2023. Humans, by nature, are superstitious. Perhaps because we live - and will always live - in an uncertain world. So, if having that lucky usb will make you feel at ease about the future, I say plug it in proudly and never eject it !! As the clocks strike midnight, we bid farewell to the echoes of Date Night chapter one and stand at the threshold of a new beginning. 2024 is a playlist waiting to be filled with the tunes of our aspirations, and what better way to embark on this journey than embracing the timeless metaphor of starting a new chapter - a metaphor woven into the wavelength of sound itself. It’s 5pm somewhere…

Dj, producer, and man behind record label and club night Size 13, there’s no one better to bring us into our new love story. He’s had releases on Gimme a Break, Roadkill, algo:riddims, as well as his own label. And his debut ep ‘Feel’ came out last year on Vief. His club nights have held the likes of Hodge, Batu, and Re:ni, and for his next party in Manchester, he will be hosting Cameo Blush at Eagle Inn on Friday 8th March. I love it when you read to me, and you can read anything. It’s date night.
