Opening 2022's final quarter, Cid Inc's Replug Records welcomes Mike Griego back to the label for a new EP. Based in Buenos Aires, the Argentinean DJ and producer has carved out a unique place in the electronic underground. His exacting design, addictive grooves and avant-garde melodies have made for a transcendent sound that continues to unify dancefloors around the world. With a career that now approaches fifteen years and one hundred discography credits, Mike would have to be considered one of progressive music's elite artists. A meticulous discography reflects his choosy nature; with Replug and Sudbeat serving as the primary landing spots for his musical output. With 2021 being highlighted by his most recent Replug vehicle ‘Dysbiosis', the Argentine made a much-lauded return to Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music earlier this year with ‘Foreign Affair', before laying down impressive renditions of Kasper Koman's ‘In Circles' and Dmitry Molosh & Navar's ‘Foreign Wonders', released c/o Juicebox Music and Proportion respectively. Now, continuing what has been a great year, Mike returns to Replug with a three-track showcase entitled ‘Flying Doves'. 

As a favourite of Replug label boss Cid Inc across the summer season, EP opener and title selection ‘Flying Doves' finds Mike at his creative best. Shot in high-definition and full of detail and drive, it's an emotive voyage where the Buenos Aires resident flexes his freethinking muscles and lands comfortably in-between groove-centric science and hopeful musicality. The inevitable zenith of this peak-time excursion mounts with nostalgic melodies and balmy harmonics converging, achieving a rich, colourful timbre over a bed of pulsating beats and fascinating percussion arrangements. 

More enigmatic yet is the EPs second selection 'Brothi'', a creation which finds Mike etching towards a darker monochrome. Plush kick drums and voluptuous bass stabs lead to electrified iterations of new age sonics. Cleverly cadenced coactions underpin a fascinating blend of pyrotechnic effects, before segueing into the main break where metallic melodies and effervescent rides unite, setting the course for a finale of rebounding rhythms and surreal sonic aesthetics.

The third and final selection 'Blood Echo' further solidifies Mike's transcendent abilities. Possessing a dramatic undercurrent, the Argentine works hypnotizing structures over punchy kick drums and detailed percussion, creating waves of locomotive meditation. Its thrilling pulse has become a production hallmark for Mike, one where inventive drum patterns, mesmerizing rhythms and quixotic effects carry the storyboard onwards to a thunderous dance floor awakening. A fitting conclusion to a fresh three-track odyssey, one where Mike carefully balances technique and musicality, thus continuing his tenure as one of Argentina's most beloved progressive house producers.

Ruben Karapetyan’s RKP welcomes DJ Zombi to the label with the much anticipated ‘Harmonized’. Based in Tel Aviv, Eli Baltsan aka DJ Zombi has been a fixture of the electronic underground for over a decade. Whether operating as one half of the famed crossover act Weekend Heroes, or under his solo moniker of DJ Zombi, Eli is well travelled, having curated music for the world's premiere festivals and trendiest venues. With a continued focus on his solo productions in recent years, DJ Zombi has found a home on Guy J's Armadillo Records, Guy Mantzur's Moments, Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden, and his own Beat Boutique imprint. Now, in a year that has already seen DJ Zombi reach number one in Beatport’s Organic House tracks with a release via Songuara, he adds RKP to his resume with ‘Harmonized’, alongside a remix from Dmitry Molosh. 

The release concludes with Dmitry Molosh making his label debut with the lone interpretation of ‘Harmonized’. Based in Belarus, Dmitry Molosh has been at the cutting edge of electronic music for the better part of a decade. In marrying the classic and contemporary sounds of progressive house, Dmitry’s sonic aesthetic is not only recognizable but also dramatic and emotive. It’s this authentic sound which has found a home via Proton Music, Sudbeat, Replug and his own Proportion imprint, while continuing to find favour with Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Cid Inc. Always a creative and in demand remixer, Dmitry now adds RKP to his resume with a powerful rendition of ‘Harmonized’. Dmitry’s veteran production chops serve him well here as he takes a more direct dancefloor approach, one that is bursting with dubbed down melodic structures and a keen sense of rhythm and groove. Flowing through pyrotechnic synth swagger and uplifting themes, the first act not only balances a dark light dynamic perfectly, but also evolves with an effortless ease, eventually revealing an emotive break complete with a tasteful marriage of dark percolating lines and inspired overlays, an appealing coax that is sure captivate even the most discerning of dancefloors as an electric finale ensues.

Returning to spearhead Meanwhile’s output as 2025 kicks into gear, the collaborative pairing of GMJ & Matter deliver “Telomeres” alongside a remix from Australian icons Kasey Taylor and Karl Pilbrow for their 2023 hit “EXT 135” to round out the package.

The Melbourne-based duo behind the Meanwhile imprint are widely recognised as responsible for helping shape the modern Progressive House scene. Pivotal in the development of the label’s development both as solo artists and with their combined output, their work on Meanwhile has seen the “Lost on Origin”, “Gauntlet” and “Eldarin” EPs all released over the label’s inaugural year (between April and August 2020), before “The Path / Perfect Storm” followed 6 months later. 18 months elapsed before “Ext 135 / Elemental / Time To Space” appeared at the end of 2022 with “Stellaris / Idritah” following a year later in December 2023.

Now as 2025 finds its feet, GMJ & Matter provide their fans with a seventh original release on their ever-evolving label. The powerful building blocks that shape “Telomeres” evolve easily from its rolling groove foundations and deep sub-bassline sequence. A muted arp comes to the fore in perfect synchronous cadence while the endless delays present in the analogue motif cascade across the stereo spectrum filling the sonic space. A new and dynamic arpeggio appears at the breakdown as its gradual open filter provides the weight and dancefloor gravitas to herald a drop into the third movement. The same sequence makes an appearance in the second half in combination with the other rhythmic and melodic characters, to devastating effect.

Vapour Recordings head honcho, Kasey Taylor needs little introduction to the Meanwhile cognoscenti. A bona fide electronic music legend, the Australian artist has been at the vanguard of the progressive scene since the mid-90s with a double century of credits on such esteemed imprints as Sudbeat Music, Afterglow and John Digweed’s Bedrock and a century on his own Vapour Recordings. New Zealander, Karl Pilbrow moved to his adopted Melbourne home in 2012 before a partnership with Kasey Taylor witnessed a score of production credits including 2020’s “Amber Skies” and 2023’s “Fairlight” on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat. A trio of original releases on Vapour followed, not least in July 2024’s “Sonorous / Alluvium / Inscape”. Now debuting on Meanwhile, the Kasey Taylor & Karl Pilbrow remix of “EXT 135” contains the deep bassline presence of the original while an unrelenting, rapid-fire groove creates a magical tension. Developing sonic intrigue, the melodic progression of the original’s breakdown is found wedded to the driving rhythm in majestic and spine-tingling fashion. Full of bassline intensity, familiar vocal cuts and melodic fragility are the perfect counterweight to the rhythmic heft.

Eros, is the 7th EP of Various Artist from Droid9 South America, it includes 3 original mixes of pure Progressive House made by great artists. Among them are Argentine producers such as Konte, Andres Moris, Colou Befu and Ignacio Berardi.

Voice of experience, is the first track on this EP, made by Konte. In this track you can appreciate an ambient and dark sound, along with a very well achieved base, accompanied by a deep house sound to some extent. This creation keeps us in tune all the time, it is an ideal track for any time of the night, either at the end of a warm up or to generate a calmer atmosphere in an extensive set.

Into the light, is the second track, made by Andres Moris. This track obtained the support of Guy J (Echos 11/13/2020), in it we can notice in this creation a fine mixture in the Progressive House style, you can see solid drums accompanied by a powerful bassline, which when combined With the melody it begins to take us on a one-way trip to another dimension. Everything that seemed heavenly turns dark, minimal-style sounds begin to enter our ears which keeps the crowd to keep moving. It is an ideal track for any type of environment , in which listeners will go through different states of mind when being heard.

Sayonara, third track compiled by Colou Befu and Ignacio Berardi. You can see in this creation, a mix between an aggressive yet hypnotic and enveloping sound that progressively mutates and takes us on a journey from beginning to end. The combination of drums, melody and bass makes it sustain a good groove for the dance floor, which holds us to the floor and keeps us in constant motion. Undoubtedly this track can be used to exploit the night on any given dancefloor
