Joining forces to create a formidable duo are best friends Matze and Johannes. After bonding over a mutual love for hip-hop, breakdance and skateboarding they soon started to produce music together. London-based producer Cera Alba pairs up with vocalist Zahra for a pair of tough tracks on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax this June featuring a remix from Stockholm’s Tiger Stripes.

Since his humble beginnings several years ago the Newcastle-born artist has cemented a reputation for consistency, with releases appearing on the likes of Hot Creations, Moon Harbour, VIVa MUSiC,
Avotre, Madtech and Gruuv. As a DJ he’s been making regular appearances across Europe, including venues such as Watergate Berlin, Sankeys Ibiza, Brixton Academy London, not to mention festivals such as Hideout.

‘Taking Over Me’ is a dark and moody roller from the get-go. Robust drums and mesmerizing atmospherics form its basis whilst Zahra’s soulful vocals and a cavernous low-end rumbles throughout to its rhythm as a piercing vocal and metallic elements ebb in and out of the mix. Tiger Stripes then provides a crunchy remix of ‘Taking Over Me’, distorting Zahra’s vocals whilst incorporating tantalizing synths into his own stomping rendition.

Ease The Pain' is the first EP of a completely new sounding string of releases and will be followed by offerings on Gigolo Records, Kompakt and Hot Creations amongst others. The idea of creating different tracks like these came to me when I was at DC10 at Circoloco this summer dancing in the crowd. The beat of 'Africana' was born at that moment and I also had a clear idea of the mood of the vocal. 'Ease The Pain', on the other hand, has a strong house identity, which I'm well known for, coupled with a current tech house beat.

Nic Fanciulli's first appearance on Rejected came back in 2009, when he took over "Room 3" of the labels famous Dusty House. This was followed by last years "Together", his co-production with label boss Joris Voorn and today he returns to Dutch shores again with his latest brace, "Movin' On" and "Round & Round."

With "Movin' On" featuring in his brand new and ready to roll 'Balance' compilation, our timing couldn't be better. Perfect for the summer floors, it rolls heavy with Fanciulli's trademark drive and funk. Breaking out the harmonica and letting the divas holla, he drops the bass in the synth-lead breaks before slamming it back for, dare we say it, those real hands in the air moments. The terraces eagerly await.

Pulling no punches on the flip, we have "Round & Round." In typical heads down fashion and with a dizzying display of hats and snare, Nic turns in a floor burning tool that could easily demand its very own room in Rejected's dusty abode. Two strong cuts from one of the most consistent producers of today.

Ruben Mandolini, Italian DJ & Producer, approaches to music since he was a child. Fully self-taught, he had been already playing keyboards and Roland synthesizers passionately at the age of 15 years old. This passion for digital instruments pushed him to become more and more interested in electronic music.
He started to produce and release his first tracks in the late 2008.
His unique and recognizable style take him to be noticed by some important and affirmed labels. Starting from 2011 until now he releases on imprints like Defected, Armada, Saved, Snatch!, Lapsus Music, Toolroom just for naming a few, becoming a producer of who is talked about.
Constantly supported by the most important artists in the industry, year by year Ruben waves the flag of the Italian Tech House scene around the world. Some of his tracks have become real must-haves for Djs: "Also!" on Snatch! Records and "Romantica" on Lapsus Music are real cult of the last 10 years Tech House music.
After establishing himself as one of the best Italian DJs, Ruben reaches territories like Europe, Australia, North and South America, and Russia.
Brilliant in his productions and being a charismatic DJ, Ruben Mandolini confirms himself as one of the most interesting Italian artists of the last few years.
